DOE RUN, MO--(September 8, 2006) With only one point night remaining in the 2006 racing season at Doe Run Raceway, the stock kart class championship is still too close to call with only two points separating points leader Andrew Cash from second place Scottie Gretzmacher.

The skill level of these two drivers was apparent to all during the feature event in the class as the two put on quite a show for the fans. At the line though, it was Gretzmacher in the lead with Cash second. Damien Atchley posted a strong third place finish, Jesse Wright fourth and Lee Stuppy fifth.

Gretzmacher won the first heat, Atchley second and Maggie Almon third. Cash won the second heat, Wright second and Mackenzie Roney third.

In the Dwarf Car division, Vince Conway led the field to the checkered flag in the feature event. Brad Paquet finished second, points leader Chris Hayes third, Matt Dotson fourth and Tommy Worley Sr. fifth.

Conway won the first heat, Paquet second and Worley third. Hayes won the second heat, Billy Joe Beard second and Jim Daley fourth.

Joey Boyd won the 600cc Multi car class feature event. Brad McDaniels finished second, Thomas Chandler third, Lynda Blanke fourth and Gavin Galbraith fifth.

Jeff Wurst carried the checkers in the first heat, Galbraith second and Brian Keen third. Mark Shirshekan won the second heat, Boyd second and McDaniels third.

In the Mini Stock class, Shannon Burch once again drove his #8 Burch Fencing pinto to victory lane and as is becoming tradition, treated the fans to his version of the chicken dance. Bill Nickelson finished in the runner up spot, Ronnie Moser third, Ray Statler fourth and Steve Wright fifth.

Moser won the first heat, Nickelson second and Tod Brinley finished third. Burch won the second heat followed by Keith Buckley and CJ Wright.

Dave Racer won the Hornet class feature event. Matt Greif finished second in his zebra striped #1 3/4, Mike Henderson third, Les Thilking fourth and Nathan Portell fifth.
