StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Round Up For July 10

CLARKSVILLE, TN – Herman Reynolds and Talbert Goldman continue their battle for the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region championship. Jason Wilson continues to lead the East Region after week 15 of the 24-week series.

Goldman took the win on Friday night at Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS, while Reynolds finished fourth. On Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS, Reynolds was fifth, and Goldman took the sixth spot. With their 16 best finishes that count in their point totals, Reynolds has 654 points with Goldman seven points behind at 647.

Owen Stockstill is third in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series West Region with 558 points earned in 15 starts at Southern Speedway, Whynot Motorsports Park, and Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS. Steven Ashby rides in the fourth spot with 532 points in 14 starts at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway in Clarksville, TN and Thunderhill Raceway in Lawrenceburg, TN.

Tony Albright is fifth with 517 points in 12 starts at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway. Albright and Ashby finished second and third respectively on Saturday night at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway.

Kevin Watts is sixth with 493 points earned in 13 starts at Pike County Speedway, and Landon Frith is seventh with 467 points compiled in 12 starts at Swinging Bridge Raceway in Jackson, MS, and Pike County Speedway. Jarrette Gunn is eighth with 442 points in 12 starts at Swinging Bridge Raceway, Pike County Speedway and Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS.

Terry Mosley had a second-place finish on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park to move up to the ninth spot in the West Region points chase with 422 points in 11 starts. Scott Tracer was the winner on Friday night at Malden Speedway in Malden, MO to round out the top ten with 421 points in 11 starts.

Wilson had a pair of top five finishes on Friday night at Childersburg Speedway in Childersburg, AL and on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL to remain on top of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region point standings. Wilson has 720 points in his best 16 starts.

Carlton Freeman had a fourth-place finish at Talladega Short Track to move up to the second spot in the East Region points. Freeman has 676 points in 16 starts, 44 points behind Wilson. John Pierce had a second-place run at Talladega Short Track to settle into the third spot with 655 points in his best 16 starts.

Logan Yates, using a steel-head 602 GM Performance Crate Engine, was the winner at Talladega Short Track, is fourth in the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region point standings with 606 points in 15 starts. Jimmy Elkins is fifth with 583 points with his 16 best starts at Childersburg Speedway and Talladega Short Track.

Buddy George is sixth with 550 points in his best 16 starts at Talladega Short Track and Childersburg Speedway. Adam Martin is seventh with 480 points in 11 starts at Talladega Short Track and Childersburg Speedway. Steve Kirk is eighth with 447 points earned in 13 starts at Talladega Short Track and Childersburg Speedway.

Samuel Brown from Thunder Mountain Speedway in Fyffe, AL moved into the top ten of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series East Region with 416 points earned in 11 starts for the ninth spot. Tim Staples also moved into the top ten in the East Region with 411 points in 11 starts at Talladega Short Track.

Along with Yates, other winners in StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series action over the weekend were drivers using the $3,000 602 GM Performance Crate Engine.

Veteran Eddie Pace who came out of retirement to take the win on Saturday night at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway using a 602 GM Performance Crate Engine, as did Roger Brewer on Saturday night at Thunderhill Raceway.

In other West Region action, Kindell Keating was the winner on Saturday night at Pike County Speedway, and Luckey Keeton took another win on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park. Thomas McReynolds won on Saturday night at Columbus Speedway.

In other East Region action, Ted Lackey was the winner on Friday night at Childersburg Speedway, and newcomer Lewis Rakestraw was the winner on Saturday night at Thunder Mountain Speedway.
