Virginia Motor Speedway had 28 weekly FASTRAK Late Models enter the program on Saturday, April 27th. This was the highest car count of any FASTRAK sanctioned track over the weekend. Corey Almond outdueled Jared Powell on late race restart to capture the win in opening night action at Virginia Motor Speedway. VMS has continued to follow the FASTRAK rule book every year and has seen their average car count grow throughout the years.

“Virginia Motor Speedway is one of our strongest tracks, as far as average weekly car count,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “They keep a close eye on tech and follow the FASTRAK program 100%. The tracks that do that, often have the highest car count each week.”

Virginia Motor Speedway averaged 18 cars per race in 2018 and 16 in 2017. By offering a good payout and strong tech for their weekly program, VMS continues to build their FASTRAK Pro Late Model car count.

Any track could see the same successes as Virginia Motor Speedway by joining the FASTRAK family of race tracks. Any track that is interested in becoming FASTRAK sanctioned or hosting a FASTRAK Racing Series race should contact DJ Irvine at 706-223-3014.
