Farmington , MO -- August 11, 2007 – In the Sprint Division Farmington , Missouri ’s Tommy Worley, Jr found his way to victory lane again. In his familiar #97, Worley would start the Feature event on the outside of row one. Alongside Worley on the inside was Championship Point Leader, Joey Montgomery. Before the event, drivers were introduced to the “house”. As introductions were being made, it was nice to see Tommy Burch back behind the wheel of a sprint car. If memory serves me, Tommy was a Track Champion in 1988.

At the drop of the flag it was a literal horse race to turn one. Slide at both ends of the track were common. Montgomery, Worley, and A J Bruns would chase ot off into turn one. Bruns seemed to be flying high, only to lose it in turn four and bring out the cvaution and send his car to the rear on the restart. This left Montgomery and Worley to do battle for the duration of the event. These two were slicing up the field of slower cars. Only three cautions came out for the event. The most serious was on lap 20 for a three car tangle. Bryan Matthews, Park Hills , MO had his best finish of the season by coming home third. Opening night winner Keith Burch, Farmington , MO , finished fourth and Tim Montgomery, Fredericktown , MO rounds out the top five.

Modified Division action was great as well. Jeremy Greenwalt, Potosi , MO gets another win. Greenwalt would start on the front row alongside Brent Thompson and these tow were the class of the field early. Side by side was not uncommon for several laps. Only a small slip by Thompson allowed Geenwalt to get away. However it also let Billy Smith and Mike Francis get by for position. As the event unfolded up front. The best racing was going on behind the leaders. Matt Eaton, Kenny Harris, Chris Boyd, Michael Abney and Don Luna were running like it was for the win. No driver had a clear advantage in this group.
