The 2004 Racing Season at Tri-City Speedway will feature four "Summer Sundays" in addition to the Saturday Night Missouri-Illinois DODGE Dealers Racing Series that opens Saturday Night, April 3rd. The four planned Sunday nights include three Late Model Specials, June 20th, July 11th, and August 1st, and the Annual Bob Wente Midget Classic on Sunday night August 22nd. "We gave the Sunday night a lot of thought and the fans personal responsibilities during the work week. We are confident Sunday night during the summer months gives us the opportunity to present our special events," says track promoter Bob Wente.

Each "Summer Sunday" has its own identity and defines the luster of a special event. The three Late Model Specials include Mooney Starr's O'Reilly Mid-America Racing Series, Fathers Day, June 20th. Tri-City Speedway will pay $10,000 to win the UMP Summer Nationals on July11th and the new World of Outlaws Late Model Series on Sunday night, August 1st. Summer Sundays will conclude on Sunday, August 22nd with the Annual Bob Wente Midget Classic that will attract the nation's top open wheel drivers highlighted by a 50-lap main event.

The 2004 Tri-City Speedway schedule has over 30 planned events and is the most ambitious in the track's 40-year history. Additional specials include two big World of Outlaw Nights, May 15th and October 9th. Wednesday night, August 11th is the opening night of Illinois Speedweek for Late Models at Tri-City Speedway.

Reserved seats for all events are on sale by calling RaceLine (636) 947-7287, or RaceTix at (314) 469-9666. MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
