An unusually dry racing surface slowed qualifying times down for the racers at Clarksville Speedway. Times are common in the thirteen second range for the faster cars but a 14.447 lap by Randle Sweeney was the fastest of the night in the Burr Motor Sports #33 Late Model. Sweeney also set the fast time for the UMP Open Wheel Modified class with a 15.292 in his #182 car.
Brian M. Caudle "The RC Man" would be the only Pro Street car to qualify in less than sixteen seconds, but not by much, with a 15.838 lap.

By the time heat races began, the track resembled a paved asphalt road as tire rubber deposited on the surface turned the top of the red-colored clay, black. The first heat, Pure Mini Stocks, is where points leader Christopher Perrigo (12), propped up his lead even farther winning the race by quite a few car lengths. The Street Stock heat races saw Buster Smith (38) winning the first, Don Everett (9) prevailed in the second and Dale Phillips (87) taking the checkered flag first, in the third heat. Not so easy in the Open Wheel Dash. Randle Sweeney (182) and David Flowers would fiercely compete for the checkered. Every position was heavily challenged as every other car was side-by-side with their closest competitor. Sweeney overcame Flowers to win. During the first Open Wheel heat, Lucas Lee (12) would pull a car length ahead of challengers as tires were having a hard time keeping grip on the track. This race was a little more defined as Lee took the checkered ahead of Gary Tatum (24T), but drivers Gregg Brown (5) and Ricky Knight (43) would muscle their cars for the show, Brown kept enough ahead to take it.
The second Open Wheel Heat had Charles Zimmerman (93) contacting the wall in turn one hard enough to take him out of the race. With the eight laps finally finishing, Gil Smith (7X) would keep far ahead of Mike Neighbors
(711N) to take the win. Randle Sweeney (33) wrapped up the Late Model Dash in a quick two minutes leaving the rest of the field nearly a third of a lap behind. Jimmy Grant (4) tried to follow suit and placed second with room to spare. The first Late Model heat saw one caution as a spin in turn three slowed them down. Mike Chandler (51) prevailed in the heat with Bryan Singleton (72) his nearest competitor. Tony Albright (1) led the last Late Model heat race with Gary Johnson (20) on his tail for the first couple laps. As Albright pulled away, Johnson would have to contend with Gary Frost
(F14) for the show spot. A caution straightened out the field but the restart put the drivers back in similar positions. On the final lap, Frost pulled ahead of Johnson to finish second behind Albright. Then old-time rivals were pitted against each other in the Pro Street Dash. Larry Hamm
(11L) led the first four laps as fast-qualifier Brian Caudle (RC1) got a feel for the track. Just after the crossed flags waved, Caudle made his move on the outside and took over the lead. Hamm had to settle for second with Matt Potter (64) in tow. Although a spin in the Pro Street heat kicked up dust in the infield, and another put a car into the turn two wall, Bernard Kollmann (35) led the field for most of the race until Larry Barber Jr. (33) drove high after the restart to take the checkered. Three laps into the first Mini Modified heat, a bounce off the back stretch wall from further back in the pack slowed Ronnie Richardson's (15) lead to a restart. Ronnie put a quarter lap between himself and his nearest competitors, Floyd Clinard Jr. (05) and Charles Newberry (23), to win the heat. Thomas Clinard (55) drove a similar race in the second Mini Modified heat for the win. A three-way battle for second place ensued for a couple laps before Dale McCord (31) overcame the other two.

Christopher Perrigo (12) adds another feature race to his points lead in the Pure Mini standings. And although Stan Ferry (1) moved up early on to challenge Timothy Hunter (77) for second, Stan would have to settle for third. Cars drove out of turn two, four-wide, as the green flag started the Open Wheel Feature race. That action came to a grinding halt as this class would suffer two initial restarts. The cautions didn't affect Randle Sweeney's (182) lead and David Flowers (99) pursuit. Other point leaders drove the tough race skillfully as even Zimmerman (93) made necessary repairs and made it out to place tenth after starting at the rear of the nineteen car field. While Sweeney and Flowers were relatively solid in their leading positions, Michael Lee (55) kept challengers Scott Boley (16) and Mike Sweeney (25S) in his sights riding the inside. Getting past Boley, Michael eventually edged past Mike Sweeney too and started his move for third. Just past the crossed flags, Lee again went low to get past Clayton Miller (X15) while Sweeney (25S) stuck on his tail. Miller didn't hold off Sweeney either as 25S took the fourth spot, Michael Lee landing in third, Flowers the track champion holding second, and Randle Sweeney winning the feature without further delay. Brian Caudle drove the RC1 Pro Street car to another victory as well, his seventh for the season. Brian would keep his distance throughout the feature from Larry Hamm (11L), who finished second and Matt Potter (64) who pulled in to show through the lapped field. Five 'thrills & spills' would bring out the caution during the Late Model Feature race. Randle Sweeney (33) would hold a consistent lead through every restart to take the win. Jimmy Grant (4) placing second, would have the likes of David Miller (K1) moving up on his position, but every time Miller got into position, the caution lights would come on, and Jimmy would get a good jump on the restart. Starting way back in the fifth row, Gary Frost (F14) would move his way up to finish in the fourth spot behind Miller. A late caution slowed the Street Stock Feature race down where Don Everett (9) kept a solid hold on the lead ahead of point champions Ronnie Hedgepath (H55), Dale Phillips (87) and Dorris McCord (45). After starting in the third row, Hedgepath brought the excitement as he drove past Phillips, to earn the second position, in the first half of the race. McCord starting even further back, also got past Phillips to finish in third while Everett took the checkered first after a second caution delayed the show. Ronnie Richardson (15) led the Mini Modified Feature for most of the race until fluid on the track brought out the yellow. After getting past Thomas Clinard (55), Dale McCord (31) used the caution to get past Richardson on the restart for the win and take home the 1st Prize of the final race of the night.
