TCI Automotive Race Night at West Plains Motor Speedway

West Plains, MO The annual TCI Automotive Race Night at West Plains Motor Speedway provided an exciting night of high powered motorsports entertainment for an enthusiastic crowd of race fans. TCI Automotive representative, Scott Miller of Ashland, MS, was on hand to welcome a good field of racers. Impressive new TCI t-shirts were given as door prizes to lucky fans on hand.

Twenty-one IMCA Modifieds took the green flag and after some time away from the red clay of West Plains, Ruston Miller of Houston, MO, returned this week and took the feature win. Carmon Vincent of Moody, was second, followed by Brian Judd of Caulfield, MO, Chris Piper, Danny Peterson and Brandon Ball, all of West Plains, Bobby Skinner of Moody, MO, Anthony Carnal of Cabool, MO, Jerry Croney of West Plains, and Joey Smith of Pomona, MO, rounded out the top ten.

Balance of the IMCA Modified field included Jason Brigman, Matt Barry, Denny Dennison and Calvin Tribble, all of West Plains, Fred Scarbrough of Koshkonong, MO, Austin Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR, David Mallonee of West Plains, John McCrackin of Peace Valley, MO, Carl Murphy of Caulfield, MO, Kevin Collins of West Plains and Scott Crigler of Alton, MO, rounded out the field.

Stan Ellison made yet another appearance on Victory Lane as he chalked up another Super Stock feature win during the TCI Race Night event. Coming in second was Bobby Bryant of West Plains, followed by Jeff North of Rogersville, MO, Bob Johnson of Hardy, AR, Chris Moser of Melbourne, AR, Kevin Collins of West Plains, Tim Brown of Stoutland, MO, Dee Kelly of Birch Tree, Clint Seamans of Imboden, AR, and Shawn Doan of Pocahontas, AR, rounded out the top ten.

Balance of the Super Stock field included Bill Dixon of Thayer, Doyle Frost of Alton, Cody Kelly of Birch Tree, Brian Ratliff of Hardy, Bobby Ratterree of Mtn. Grove, MO, Andy Collins of West Plains and Derek Brown of Stoutland.
Kevin Collins of West Plains, won the TCI sponsored Hobby Stock feature this week. Newcomer, Aaron Darby of Portageville, MO, took second followed by Bobby Bryant of West Plains, Rick Cooper of Thornfield, MO, Dean Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR, Tony Krusen of Thayer, Brock Frost of Birch Tree, Dexter Frost of West Plains, Korey Whitelock of Alton, MO, Shane Hitt of Birch Tree, and Tom Davenport of Yellville, AR, rounded out the field.

Taking the Cruiser feature win this week was John Stiner of West Plains. Scoring a second place finish was Chris Skinner of Moody, followed by Clifford Collins, II, and Bill Harden, both of West Plains, Daniel Carter of Mtn. Home, AR, Mark Doiron, Rhonda Gunter, and Clifford Collins, all of West Plains, Mike Allen of Springfield, MO, Jesse Johnson of Viola, AR, Tyler Newcom of Hardy, and Sissy Ratliff Seaman of Imboden, rounded out the Cruiser field.

Ben Piper of West Plains, won the Youth Hobby Stock feature this week with William Piper of Birch Tree, coming in second followed by Ricky Cross of St. James, MO, Clayton Gunter of West Plains and Cody Toten of Pomona.

Next Saturday night will be the annual South Howell County Ambulance Race Night. All classes will be running including the IMCA Modified, Super Stock, Hobby Stock, Cruiser and the Youth Hobby Stock. Gates will open at 5 PM, with racing at 7 PM. Adult admission is $8, senior citizens $5, kids 7-11 $2, and those 6 and under are always free.
