Indianapolis, IN – The 19th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts STREET MACHINE NATIONALS presented by Toyo Tires returns to Springfield September 14th – 16th bringing some of the coolest cars in the world to the Ozarks. Springfield will make way for over 1,500 hot rods, street machines and 2-wheel drive trucks from across the country to celebrate the return of this All American automotive tradition to the Missouri Entertainment & Events Center .
The STREET MACHINE NATIONALS is a fun, friendly environment offering something for everyone. Bring your rod to show for bragging rights and awards or just come for a day and bring the kids to enjoy the Family Fun Zone, Burnout competition, the all-new, Dynomax Power to the Wheels Dyno Challenge and the crowd favorite, Saturday Night DEMO DERBY! Weekend activities include:
DYNOMAX POWER TO THE WHEELS DYNO CHALLENGE: GOT TORQUE? The DynoMax Road Tour Crew will hook up DynoMax equipped cars to a chassis dyno for the ultimate test of power. If the exhaust system performs better than the rest, winners receive cash prizes, a feature on dynomax.com and the opportunity to compete at the SEMA ultimate shoot-out in Las Vegas , October 30 – November 2, 2007. A total of $40,000 in cash prizes will be awarded at the national competition—and you’ll have bragging rights all year! PERFORMANCE MARKETPLACE: Hundreds of automotive manufacturers will present their wares and be available for questions and product education throughout the weekend. Vendors range from national companies such as Toyo Tires and O’Reilly Auto Parts.
MICKEY THOMPSON TIRES BURNOUT COMPETITION: Mickey Thompson Tires brings this crowd and participant favorite to the people of Springfield . Spectators love the burnout because it is tire smokin’, wheel bustin’ fun for all ages. Participants love it because the burnout gives them an outlet to flex their V8 muscle. Registered event participants can sign up for the burnout on site at the event’s Main Stage. Contestants compete for a $1,000 burnout purse and a new set of rear Mickey Thompson Performance Tires! Burnout will take place prior to the Demo Derby on Saturday September 15th at 5:00pm and Sunday, September 16th at 1:00pm.
BIKINI CONTEST: 15 of Springfield ’s finest ladies will compete to see who will win $500 cash prize and the title of MISS STREET MACHINE NATIONALS. Competition takes place at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 16th. Register at the MSD Main Stage presented by Superchips by Noon on Sunday.

SHOW-N-SHINE: Over 1,500 cars and 2-wheel drive trucks will under go Show-N-Shine judging which consists of qualified professional judging and an awards program that is the envy of many event producers. Street Machine Nationals award winners ARE some of the top vehicles in the country. The Awards Ceremony takes place at the Main Stage and is held on Sunday, September 16th at 3:15 pm. If you leave before that time, you lose. Hang out and see if you made the grade.
