“The Twister”, Tommy Worley Jr. came from the middle of the pack to pick up a St. Francois County Sprint Feature win. Robert Powers led the modified feature from the start to win, Jeremy Greenwalt was unchallenged for the hobby stock feature win and Jeremy Boyer took charge from the start of the multi feature to pick up the checked.
Once again St. Francois County Raceway proves to be one of the best racing facilities in the Midwest with a great racing program. The night started off with Jeremy Greenwalt taking charge of the hobby heat one with a win. Kasey Nations led from the start to win the hobby heat two. On the first lap of the sprint heat one, Timmy Montgomery came up to the front to win. In the sprint heat two, Steve Short charged to the lead to win. On the second lap of the sprint heat three, Jason Keith worked his way up to the front to win. There were a lot of car problems and cautions in the modified heats starting with Billy Smith and Kenny Kennedy having problems causing them to go out in heat one leaving Robert Powers up front to pick up the win. Joe Giesler came to the front to pick up the modified heat two and Tommy Worley Sr. would not be denied as he fought back and forth for the lead and picked up the win on the last lap of the modified heat three. In the multi heat one, Casey Barnhouse worked his magic to pick up the win and in the multi heat two, Jr. Ferguson passed for the win in the last turn of the last lap. Timmy Montgomery jumped up front in the second lap of the sprint trophy dash to pick up the win followed by Joey Montgomery in second, Steve Short in third, Rod Crabdree in fourth, Jason Keith in fifth and Jason Hunt in sixth.
There was a lot of hard racing in the sprint feature. Steve Short, took a light roll in turn three and four in the beginning of the race. From the start, Timmy Montgomery and Joey Montgomery raced for the top spot. The charging Tommy Worley Jr. came from fourth row to check in for the lead and Joey Montgomery nipped at his tail until the white flag and Joey flipped his car hard in turn two. This left “The Twister”, Tommy Worley Jr. up front and Timmy on his tail. Tommy and Timmy raced for the checked after the restart and Tommy held the charging Timmy off to pick up a deserved feature win followed by Timmy Montgomery in second, Robbie Standridge in third, Rod Crabdree in fourth, Bob Thoman in fifth, Jason Hunt in sixth, Casey Barnhouse in seventh, A. J. Bruns in eighth, Jeff Davis in ninth and Jimmy Hurley finished in tenth.
Robert Powers jumped up front in the modified feature to pick up his well deserved win followed by Joe Giesler in second, Lannie Blake in third, Billy Smith in fourth, Tommy Worley Sr. in fifth, Mike Crader in sixth, Matt Zimmerly in seventh, Dan Zander in eighth, Kenny Kennedy in ninth and Clyde Tobias finished tenth.
In the hobby stock feature, Jeremy Greenwalt jumped up front to lead the race for the win followed by Randy Forster in second, Matt Eaton in third, Doug Savage in fourth, Chris Boyd in fifth, Chuck Adams in sixth, Kevin Mosier in seventh, Charles Adams in eighth, Karl Francis in ninth and Leonard Betsch finished tenth.
At the start of the 600cc multi feature, Kent Buckley flipped his car up and over in turn one and two bringing out the red. After the restart, Jeremy Boyer jumped up front to lead the whole race, holding off the charge of Jr. Ferguson. Jeremy picked up the win followed by Jr. Ferguson in second, Tommy Boyd in third, Joey Boyd in fourth, Rodney Williams in fifth, Tyler Thompson in sixth, Matt Dotson in seventh, Chuck Fenwick in eighth, Conner Thompson in ninth and Casey Barnhouse finished tenth.
