With all of the heat action of for the night it is intermission time and then on to FEATURE Time, the races everyone comes to watch. The features are what racing is all about. That's where the track points are made and lost, and of course the money is won.

We saw the Open Wheels start our night off in the features. The 15 lap feature for the Open Wheels was won by 25S of Mike Sweeney, who despite only one caution flag being cause by the 24T of Gary Tatum, won the race. Mike was followed by 55 of Michael Lee, 93 Charles Zimmerman, 99 of David Flowers and 7 of Ben Shearon rounding out the top five. Now to the show that a large percentage of the people come out to see, the UMP Super Late Models. These guys run a 20 laps show that will knock your shoes off and start your heart, with the rumble of their 500+ HP engines. Well the outcome was one to be expected at Clarksville with the 1 car of Tony Albright taking the checkered flag by a good six car length lead, after a bad finish last weekend. F14 of Gary Frost who battled all race long with the third and fourth place drivers of 27 Chuck Proctor and 00 of Branson Berry, finally came home in second, with 47 Ron Reed rounding out the top five. Richard Frost driving the 15 car came in seventh following the 28 of Joey Lingauer. The 20 car of Gary Johnson came home in eighth followed by 72 of Brian Singleton. The rest of the field being completed with 17 of Randy Welch, 30 of Johnny Newberry and 33T of Bill Talhuman bringing up the rear. While two cars left the track early for unknown mechanical malfunction the 02 of Chris Cook an 33 of Randle Sweeney.

Even thought we still had four more classes the crowd is leaving but they always seem to miss the real excitement which is put on week after week by those die hard weekend warriors of the other four classes. The Pro Street feature was won by a track known name that is also racing on the asphalt at Nashville. It was Don Young driving the 41 car. Second place was taken by 44 Tryone Dossett followed by 93 of Larry Hamm, T54 of Larry Barbur, Sr., and 23 of Charles Newberry rounding out the top five.

In the Street Stock feature we saw huge pile of metal form as when the field came around the track to take the first lap flag, we had a red flag incident involving six cars. After the flag was lifted we saw the 87 of Dale Phillips take the 12 lap feature, followed by 10 of Allen Scott taking second. Scott was followed by L14 of Sam Morgan, 45 of Dorris McCord and 2W of Jerry Joiner rounding out the top five.

In the Mini Mod regular night feature, 15 of Ronnie Richardson took the checkered flag home. He was followed by 2 of Stan Ferry, 31 Thomas McCord, 54 of Donald Donegan and taking fifth was 33 of William Kirk. In the Pure Mini feature 77 of Timothy Hunter took the checkered followed by 2 of Mike Johnson. These were the only two of the four that started to finish the race.

And in closing we here at the Clarksville Speedway would like to say thanks to all of our sponsors and the new ones we gained tonight, and most of all you the fans that come out here to support us. We would also like to remind you that this coming weekend we have a $2,000 to win Open Wheel Race “Tuckasee Shootout” with if the winner of the $2,000 to win race at Paducah International Raceway comes here and wins, that driver will take home a bonus $2,000, so this weekend will be another exciting night at the track.
