Track Enterprises Announces DuQuoin State Fair Auto Racing Events Scheduled For Labor Day Weekend 20

ARCA and USAC Series - Plus The UMP Modified Two Day Show

On Sunday, September 5, the USAC Silver Crown cars will compete in the Southern Illinoisan 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. This year’s USAC race will once again be held under the lights. Sunday will consist of USAC practice at 5:00 p.m., USAC Silver Crown qualifying at 6:30 p.m., and the Southern Illinoisan 100 USAC Silver Crown feature is set to begin at 8:00 p.m. Pit gates will open at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and the grandstands will open at 4:00 p.m. Come see if 2008’s winner Brian Tyler can repeat and bring home the checkered flag again in 2010.

On Monday, September 6, the ARCA Car Series will compete on the one-mile oval in DuQuoin, Illinois presented by Federated Car Care. NASCAR star Ken Schrader will be on hand in his Federated Car Care ARCA car. The UMP Modifieds will also complete their double header at DuQuoin with the running of their feature event. The day will consist of ARCA practice at 9:00 a.m., Modified heats at 10:30 a.m.; Time trials for the ARCA Cars will be at 11:00 a.m. with the preliminary races at 12:15 p.m. Last year’s ARCA winner was 2009 ARCA rookie, Parker Kligerman who conquered the magic mile on his first attempt ever by edging out 5 time DuQuoin winner Frank Kimmel in the last lap to take the checkered flag. The 2009 UMP Modified feature winner was Brian Shaw of Robinson, IL.

Advance adult admission is $20.00 for reserved seats and children 11 & under are $10.00. Adult ticket prices for the day of the event are $25.00. Tickets are on sale now for the upcoming 2010 weekend of racing, so get your tickets early to enjoy the most exciting dirt racing around!
