Inside Line Promotions - CLAY, N.Y. (April 17, 2019) - Joe Trenca is hungry for a title.

The Mucci Motorsports competitor has rarely raced for a championship during his winged sprint car career, but that will change in 2019 when he is hunting for the Patriot Sprint Tour title.

"We've always enjoyed racing with the Patriot Sprint Tour and this year our main focus will be to run for points," he said. "I'm excited for the challenge and looking forward to what the season will entail. We also plan to run approximately two dozen 410 sprint car shows this year."

The season gets underway this Friday at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., for the Outlaw Spring Nationals, which is co-sanctioned with the Patriot Sprint Tour and Empire Super Sprints.

"Outlaw Speedway has been one of the best tracks of my career," he said. "I love racing there and I feel really comfortable there. I think we have extra confidence rolling in there because of how consistent we've been."

Trenca posted a top-10 result during his final four races at the track last season, including a pair of top fives. He also tied his career-best sprint car result with a runner-up finish. Trenca has at least one top 10 during each of the four years he's competed at Outlaw Speedway.

"Our goal is to start the year off with a strong performance," he said. "We can't wait to get the first race in the books and hopefully compete for a win."
