Pontoon Beach, IL (January 23, 2009) Tri-City Speedway has added yet another special event to their spectacular 2009 schedule. On Friday, April 10th, the Frostbuster 50 will feature Super Late Models racing for $10,000 to win. Many of the top Super Late Models from around the country will converge on the super fast 3/8 mile clay oval for the first of six Super Late Model special events being hosted during the 2009 racing season at Tri-City Speedway.
This night gets even more special as the O'Reilly United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) will also make their first visit ever to Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL on Friday, April 10th. The event will pay $2,000 to the winner.
Many of the top modified drivers in the country such as Kelly Shryock, Jason Hughes, Zack VanderBeek, Al Hejna, Tommy Weder, Jr., Johnny Bone, Jr., Jon Tesch, Justin Boney and many more should be on hand to battle some of the St. Louis area's best modified drivers.
The Hoosier E-Mod Series tires will be allowed by the USMTS series for this event.
