Two of PIR’s most popular annual features have been rescheduled.

The annual Fireworks presentation scheduled for Friday, July 4 has been rescheduled to Friday, July 11. The change was necessary because of unavoidable scheduling conflicts. However, with local families and community spirit in mind, this year the popular display will be sponsored by WPSD-TV. More details about the annual fireworks display will be aired on Channel 6.

The third annual Faster Pastor event, rained out on Friday, June 20 has been rescheduled to Friday, July 18. Area clergymen compete with each other – and are cheered on by their congregations – in Warrior racecars during this popular event. The event will now be held on C-Plant Federal Credit Union Night at PIR.

Repeating:
• WPSD-TV 6 Fireworks display now on July 11
• Third annual Faster Pastor race now on July 18 (already C-Plant Federal Credit Union Night).
A six-division racing program also will be held on each of these Fridays.

NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Ken Schrader, and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of co-owners as a partner in September of 2006. In 2008 the 3/8th mile high-banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights of Stars, the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, the USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge. PIR races every Friday night and is located off Interstate 24 at exit 11 in Paducah, Kentucky. For more information call the PIR hotline at (270) 448-4PIR or the track at (270) 898-SHOW (7469). Check out the PIR Website at www.paducahinternationalraceway.com or www.paducahracing.com.
