Springfield, MO – After being raining out on the initial scheduled date of Saturday night Aug 10th the WAR
Non-Wing Sprint Car Series event was rescheduled to will make their inaugural appearance at Springfield
Raceway. Indigo Sky Casino will be sponsoring the Casino themed evening of races, which includes the
always popular “Raining Money” promotion. 20 lucky fans will have the opportunity to pick up their share
of the 1,000 ($1 dollar bills) that will be dropped from the sky in the tracks infield.
“We have always wanted to host a non-wing race at the track and with the development of the WAR
Series that was our opportunity to give the fans one of the best shows on dirt” said Raceway co-owner
Doug Bland. Non-wing drivers have the same engine and chassis as their Outlaw Winged cars, but
without the wing the cars slide so much more sideways and nearly back into the corners. The action on
the track is not limited to the WAR Non-Wing sprint cars, as it will also so be the Honda of the Ozark’s
season championship races. A-Modifieds, B-Modifieds, Legend Cars, Street Stocks and Midwest Modz
will be running their final points race of the year and track champs will be crowned as part of the evenings
entertainment.
Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM while the drivers meeting will be at 6:30. Hot laps will start at 6:45 and
Racing to begin at 7:30. Pit Passes will be $30 for this event. Drivers cut-off time is set for 7:00.
Grandstand gates will open at 5:30 with General Admission only $15 for this heart warming special night.
Kids prices are only $5 for kids 6-12 and under 6 Free.
