Cold north winds and persistent spring showers forced the cancellation of the weekly racing card at Mt. Vernon Raceway this past Saturday, April 23rd. The weekly program will continue this coming Saturday April 30th with UMP (United Midwest Promoters) Super Late Model Qualifying at 6:00pm and heat races beginning at 7:00pm.
Points leaders, Rodney Melvin, (UMP Super Late Models) and Matt Mevert, (UMP Modifieds) will be vying for National UMP points plus MT. Vernon raceway Track Points, as well as Joe Cooksey, (Steelblocks), Johnny Wilkens, (Hobby Stocks), and Aaron Heck (Hornets).
Mark your calendars, Tuesday May 17th, NASCAR Stars Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace visit The Mt. Vernon Raceway.
General admission to the Mt. Vernon raceway is Adults $10.00, Seniors 55 and over $8.00, Kids 6 to 12, $5.00 and children under six are Free.
