Saturdays rainfall caused the Hood Performance race program at West Plains Motor Speedway to be rescheduled for Sunday afternoon. With fair skies and sunshine the track was prepared and 95 anxious drivers arrived. Check-in got underway before noon and hotlaps began as planned at 1:30 p.m., followed by heat race action.

All heats were completed with feature lineups set. Youth Hobby feature winner, Ben Ledgerwood of Birch Tree, MO, continued to dominate the field with yet another Victory Lane appearance making him undefeated after three contests. Second place went to Bobby Skinner of Moody, MO, followed by Jimmy Joe Jones of Raymondville, MO. Rounding out the field were Eric Butler of Moody, MO, Nikita Curtner of West Plains, and Chris Ratterree of Mtn. Grove, MO.

Tyson Troutman of Houston, MO, was the winner in the Hobby Stock feature as it was declared complete after more than half the event was scored and another round of showers called a final halt to the action. The days competition was concluded and double features will be run for the remaining classes when the racing schedule resumes on Saturday, May 15. Don's Goodyear Auto Service will be sponsoring the weekly race program at that time.

The gates will open at 6 p.m., with the Autograph Session where this week's winners along with those from the previous event are invited to set up in the grandstand area and be available for pictures and autographs before the hotlaps get underway at 7:30 p.m., followed by racing action at 8 p.m.

There will be no racing at West Plains Motor Speedway on May 8th.
