(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Batesville, Arkansas native Wendell Wallace laid claim to his first victory of the 2010 racing season last Friday night, August 27 at the Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas! The MSRA Super Late Model Series sanctioned a $2,000 to win program on Friday at the Arkansas speedplant. Wendell won his heat race in preliminary competition and later rolled off from the inside of the third row in the A-Main. The driver known as the "Batesville Bullet" made his way to the front of the field and recorded the $2,000 victory over Billy Moyer, Jr. Bill Frye, Curtis Cook, and Joey Mack.

Up next for the #88 team was a trip to the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening, August 28. The MARS DIRTcar Series and UMP DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned a $5,000 to win program at the St. Louis area venue. Wendell ran fifth in heat race action and later won his B-Main to gain access into the MARS/UMP Challenge main event. After the dust had settled at Pevely, Wendell found himself credited with a fifteenth place performance. Complete results from both weekend races can be located at www.msradirt.com and www.marsracingseries.com.

"It feels really good to get the first win finally under our belt," quipped Wallace via telephone this week. "We are learning more and more about this new Victory Circle car each time we take to the track, so it was good to put everything together at Beebe and get the win. At Pevely on Saturday, we won the B-Main and passed quite a few cars to get up inside of the top ten before having an issue on the last lap. I feel good about where our program is heading right now and hopefully we can post some solid finishes this weekend at Peoria, Fairbury, and Eldora!"

The Wendell Wallace Autosports team is gearing up for a very ambitious Labor Day holiday weekend in the states of Illinois and Ohio. In all, Wendell plans to enter four Dirt Late Model special events this upcoming weekend. You can watch him sling dirt at the following venues:
