whos the best ss driver

Now who do you think I'd vote for?

Jimmy Cummins #19 in the Mean Green Machine, aka "The Snake", aka "The Rocket", aka "Bomber Momma's little boy"

But I also like:

Mike Harris (he likes my cookies)
Steve Maisel when he drove to the National Championship several years ago. (I'm going to regret this!!!)
Shawn Seymour
Chris Smith
Tommy Smallwood, because he's so "colorful"
Dean Pruett
David Gryzwacz
Scott Leverich, because he's nice and is really trying in his first year
Denny Tribout, Sr., because he's older than most of these young guns, and he's having so much fun every week. I admire him!
Todd McGraw

It's hard to pick drivers who drive in competition against your own son, but I'm trying.

well Debbie since you opened up the fact that our children are our Number 1 racer I will say that Chris Sale # 35 is one of the best at Belleville.

The whole group of sportsman drivers at Belleville. I have enjoyed the racing this year tremendously.

I guess someone want's #'s to support this opinion
12 wins at belleville this year belongs to Chris Sale

4 feature wins Paul Bauman 11 total
3 feature wns Dave G 10 total
2 Feature wins Mark Benedict 9 total
1 Feature win Tom Smallwood 9 total
1 feature win 7 others
chris smith 10 total

these are all great racers and not to forget 19, 43, 44, or 144 Jim Cummins, Mike Harris, Brian"Chili Dog" Dawson and Brian Eaves.
I will have to say that after 3 years of watching SS racing I will say that the belleville racers are setting a very high standard for other tracks to live up to. Also I can't forget my buddies the 88, 17, and the 60 carsor Scotty to Hotty Leverich, Mike Wahoooooooo Jones and Randy the Caveman Tyson.

SS Drivers

Belleville:

Tommy Smallwood, Paul Baumann, Dave Gryzwacz, Mark Benedict & Chris Sale

Pevely:
Paul Belkin, Todd McGraw & Paul Baumann

Montgomery County
Randy Hanks

88 Driemeyer

#88 Ryan Driemeyer Highland Speedway.

Took 6th place in the World Streetstock Championship at Zanesville, Ohio last year.

He is one hell of a driver and has a great pitcrew that keeps him going. You have to have a good crew and fans to help make you a great driver.

sportsman

The best approved driver for the sportman class is none other then WILDCHILD!! The sportsman that are good are Scott Drew, Scott Sterling, and if you are talking street stock Steve Stonecipher, and Mild One Rick Hubner!!! :) :) :)

im gonna have to say chris sale and tommy smallwood are the best drivers at belleville... gonna have to say that scotty leverich gets my vote for trying the hardest and not giving up..i love you scotty!!!

lmao....nothin personal.....but 4 spinouts in one flippin heat race(last week) and wild isa good driver?

Steve isa nice guy...but cmon....lets be real..he needs seat time!

Ricky gets better every year!

Sterling....yea...

Guess all that dirt at the track has blinded ya ***!

Because of the seat time that other driver you named has accumulated......im not impressed!

To me the best equals being able to pull out on any givin local track and prove your a top 3 car on any givin night!

Not just because you have the handle on 1 givin track!

Sportsmans-Chad Naylor. Jeremy Greenwalt. *edit*Oh yeah, and Randy Hanks. Saw him at Belleville this year, was almighty impressed with him.*edit*

TCS SS- Jim Laughlin has really been showing the way this year. Brian Crawford the last time he raced there was the single most impressive performance this year, he went out on a good note.

(this is another actual response to the topic of the thread, instead of using it as an opportunity to ridicule other's)

My favorite as a person and a driver would have to be #31 David (Boo) Parker. Regardless of all the contrversy some of his family members seem to stir. Sorry Dale. I like you to sometimes you rub some people the wrong way. I personally think some of your ideas are really good. Dave is a sweetheart and his daughter is one sweet gal too.

If your talkin Sportsman:

Of course Belken...when is jumps out of the late model and back into the sportsman....other good Sportsman drivers that drive other classes are Bielong, Harrison, Weber, and Bubba Wagner.

Paul Baumann has really come along and is now a front runner at Pevely and is threatening to win both point races @ Belleville and Pevely...that hasn't been done in while. Wonder how long he will be in a sportsman???

Scott Stuppy is a real smooth driver who has been in the game for awhile. He is a perenial power at 55.

Another guy who has been in one for awhile is Dennis Wernle. He looks to be the favorite to win the track championship @ Godfrey this year. He has run alot of large street stock shows and always is a top qualifier and has won features all over the place: B-Town, Highland, Godfrey, Mt. Vernon, etc.........

Some guys with less experience who are moving right along:

Randy Tyson has only been in one for about half a year @ Belleville...but has already seen about 5/6 checkered flags. He is a real smooth racer that seems to not be rattled by dryslick or heavy traffic.

Jimmy Cummins...well he is Jimmy, and he loves to race anywhere (especially Brownstown). How long before Jimmy jumps into a Mod?

Tommy Smallwood is another guy who works hard on his ride and is threat to win on any given Friday.

Chris Sale has prolly improved the most at Belleville...Last year it seemed that he handled track conditions fine during the heats but struggled during the features when the track would dry and slick up...but this year has been a different story. He has learned well over the past year and is now a feature winner and will win many more.

Some other I like:
Chris Smith
Greenwalt
Kenny Harris
Mike Harris
Kyle Roberts
Mark Benedict

Reply to 2xtemeracing2

I have 2 years of seat time in a sportsman car. But that was 2 years ago now that I'm racing in a street stock I've been doing alot better. My car is getting better and so am I some of my finishes are best I've ever had. On a couple times I had a chance to win a heat race. I admit I'm not one of they best but will be soon cuase next year I hope to be winning.:D

STREETSTOCK/SPORTSMAN

BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT IT HAS TO BE........

STEVE MAISEL AND PAUL BELKEN JR!

THESE GUYS HAVE WON HUNDREDS OF RACES AND HAVE TRAVELED BEYOND OUR LOCAL TRACKS AND HAD SUCCESS.

HONORABLE MENTION.......MARTY JR.

BLAST FROM THE PAST...........JOHNNY BAUR

FUTURE DOMINATOR...IF HE STAY IN THE CLASS......RICKY HORTON

BTW... LOOK FOR "THE HOE TRAIN" AT A TRACK NEAR YOU!!!!
