Well if it's not one thing it's another... We've got a Winter Storm Watch that was just issued for us calling for 6+ inches of SNOW! Just in time for the banquet... Here it is..

WINTER STORM TAKING SHAPE FOR SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND PORTIONS OF
SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS...

.A STORM SYSTEM IN THE WESTERN UNITED STATES WILL TRACK INTO THE
PLAINS ON FRIDAY AND INTO THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY ON SATURDAY. THE
CURRENTLY PROJECTED PATH OF THIS STORM SYSTEM WOULD RESULT IN
ACCUMULATING SNOW DEVELOPING ACROSS SOUTHWEST MISSOURI FRIDAY
EVENING...SPREADING INTO THE EASTERN OZARKS AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE SNOW
WOULD THEN CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY ON SATURDAY...ENDING EARLY IN THE
EVENING. WHILE THERE REMAINS CONSIDERABLE UNCERTAINTY ON ANY STORM
THIS FAR IN ADVANCE...THE LATEST DATA SUGGESTS THE POTENTIAL FOR
SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 INCHES OR GREATER FOR SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI AND A SMALL PORTION OF SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS.

RESIDENTS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS SHOULD MONITOR
THE LATEST STATEMENTS AND FORECASTS CONCERNING THIS DEVELOPING STORM.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...CHESTER AND FARMINGTON

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY...

SNOW IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE EASTERN OZARKS AROUND MIDNIGHT
ON FRIDAY THEN SPREAD NORTHEASTWARD INTO SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS. THE
SNOW SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY ON SATURDAY BEFORE ENDING EARLY
IN THE EVENING. SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 INCHES OR
GREATER ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM CUBA MISSOURI TO
SPARTA ILLINOIS.

A WINTER STORM WATCH IS ADVANCED NOTICE THAT SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS
POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA...IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS A CERTAINTY.
THOSE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD BEGIN PREPARING IN CASE THE STORM DOES
MATERIALIZE. IF YOU HAVE TRAVEL PLANNED...YOU MAY WANT TO ADJUST YOUR
TRAVEL TIME TO AVOID THE STORM. ALSO, YOU SHOULD USE THIS ADVANCED
NOTICE TO MAKE CERTAIN YOUR VEHICLE IS WINTERIZED. MAKE PREPARATIONS
AT HOME BY STOCKING EMERGENCY SUPPLIES...SUCH AS FOOD ...MEDICINE...
AND EXTRA HEATING...JUST IN CASE THE STORM MAKES TRAVEL IMPOSSIBLE.
THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR THOSE LIVING IN RURAL AREAS.

Well that figures, who's idea was it to move it to a Saturday anyway? I do remember Marty suggesting weather like tis could happen in December:(

There you go with that nasty negativity! SSSSSSSSSSSHHHHH!!!! If you ignore it - it won't be there.

If so, just come prepared and be careful. I'll still be there!

BRING IT ON !!!!!!!!! US OL 3RD WORLD GUY'S HAVE 4X4'S
I have been looking foward for this too long to let a little snow stop me:D

I say bring it on. As long as I don't have to drive to work in it. I just look at it as an excuse to break the ol rearend loose and pratice my corning skills in the winter. My wife doesn't agree with that but I tell her I'm a professional and just hang on. :D :D :D

Snow????

When the goin gets tough, the tough get goin.......
See the rest of you wussies next spring.:D :D :D

Millsey mayn,t drive a stock very good BUT he sing one hell of a good National Athem & sounds like a very good weather fosecaster. keep up the goog work!

John,

When did you hear me sing the National Anthem?? At Big River?? God, please don't tell me it was at Farmington.... LOL.. I about gagged the night I had to do it there... I started out singing it too high and was squeeling like a pig when I hit the high notes.... LOL...

Millsey

If you're squealing like a pig, you've been hanging around where the dueling banjos play WAY too much! lmao

Millsey the singer

Fredericktown Raceway on a Sunday afternoon , last race of the season I think. that day you did it pretty dang good. Now stop the dang snow untill Christmas, mr do it all!

Jon is right! I told you this could happen.

I did mention that the farther we move the date the better chance for bad weather. I missed a SCCA awards banquet in St. Louis one year do to sleet. Michelle and I made it just north of Old Mines and had to turn back and go home.
GOD willing we will still have a good turn-out.
