Farmington, MO (June 6) -- Five dollar grandstand night always manages to have huge crowds, great racing action and on this particular evening of all things a full moon. After a couple weeks of running out of town, Tommy Worley, Jr served notice that he is a winner. Capturing the “hat trick”(winning heat, dash, and feature)Worley start on the pole position for the feature and quickly set sail on the start leading Tom Dickerman, Tim Montgomery, and Joey Montgomery into the first turn and was never headed. Not seriously challenged during the event. He survived two caution periods and wins it going away. He was chased by Joey Montgomery, Tom Dickerman, Joey Boyd and Tim Montgomery.

David Shepard looking to make five wins in a row, started his quest on the outside of the front row. His pole position partner, Matt Eaton, was looking for his first feature win of the season. Eason would lead 11 laps of the 15 lap affair. Eaton, Shepard, Jim Black and Jeremy Greenwalt put one heck of a show for the fans. These four would be so close at times that any blanket would cover the group. Several other drivers made valliant efforts to get through the pack and join the fun, but only one could muster enough to get it done. Billy Smith started in the fourteenth starting slot, drove a smart race, picked his way up the ladder and drove to a second place finish. Following Shepard and Smith were Eaton, three time and defending track champion Brent Thompson in fourth and Shannon Blair in fifth.

Pure Street action was great as well. Mike Savage, Annapolis, MO gets his first win on the season. Green flag appeared with Savage and pole sitter Shane Blair going door-to-door. Caution however did come out on lap 1 for Jimmy Dunn. Also on lap 1 Blairs car developed a drive train issue as axle grease showed on the racing surface. Blair would be done for the night. One other caution came out for Robbie Wells for a minor incident. Savage would hang on for the win with current point leader and three time winner Brian Blair breathing right up his exhaust pipe. Eddie Gross had his best finish of the season in third spot. Chris Boyd in the Jim Randolph owned machine was fourth and Mike Crader completed the top five.

The battle that this writer thought would happen last week decided to wait until this week. Point leader Kyle Amerson and JoeB Miller were the titans in this match. Miller, who would be enjoying his birthday, ran away with the event by more than thrrre-fourths of a straight. Amerson did hang around for second. Jason Daugherty brought his mount home third.
