Worley snaps Montgomery's winning streak at four

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Aug. 9, 2003) Tommy Worley Jr. of Bismarck was outstanding Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway as he not only won the 25-lap sprint car feature, but he also snapped Timmy Montgomery's four-race winning streak at the track. Worley grabbed the lead on the second lap of the feature and never looked back. Montgomery did finish in second place with Jason Evans third, Robbie Standridge fourth and Terry Babb fifth. They were followed by Joey Montgomery, Chad Souders, Steve Short, Jimmy Hurley and Keith Burch.
Worley won the first heat with Timmy Montgomery second and Jason Hunt third. Souders won the second heat with Timmy Moss second and Ted Adams third. Short won the third heat with Evans second and Jeff Davis third. Standridge won the fourth heat with Jason Keith second. Jimmy Hurley won the "B" main with Rod Crabdree second and Joey Montgomery third. Keith won the dash with Timmy Montgomery second and Worley third. There were 31 sprints on hand at SFCR Saturday night.
In the Modified class, Robert Powers picked up a big win as he held off Billy "the Kid" Smith of Park Hills for the victory. Pete Koenig captured third place with Kenny Kennedy fourth and Dan Zander fifth. They were followed by Matt Zimmerly, Jim Fisher, Nick Todtenhaupt, Kevin Gegg and Tommy Worley Sr.
Timmy Hill won the first heat with Powers second and Bob Waterhouse third. Worley Sr. won the second heat with Tony Palmer second and Koenig third. Smith won the third heat with Zander second and Keith Ruff third. Fisher was the winner of the "B" main.
In the 600cc Multi class, Brad Loyet was the feature winner with Junior Ferguson second, Dustin Barks third, Joey Boyd fourth and Casey Barnhouse fifth. They were followed by Lance McKinney, Kent Buckley, Tommy Boyd, Jeremy Boyer and Conner Thompson.
Loyet won the first heat with Joey Boyd second and McKinney third. Ferguson won the second heat with Thompson second and Tommy Boyd third.
In the Hobby Stock class, Chuck Adams of Piedmont was the winner with Chris Boyd second, Randy Forster third, Kevin Mosier fourth and Kasey Nations fifth. They were followed by Matt Eaton, Billy Mayberry, Mickey Mosier, Jack Adams and Jason Keller.
Adams won the first heat with Jeremy Greenwalt second and Keller third. Boyd won the second heat with Forster second and Eaton third.
