Farmington, MO – (August 29) The employees of Fresh & Clean Restroom were on hand for the activities this evening. A better night could not be found. Cooling temperatures and great racing made it perfect.

Tommy Worley, Jr has been on a tear of late. Winning his fourth feature event in a row and sixth of the season. In his familiar hard charging style, Worley took to the point at the drop of the flag. Jumping out to a big lead over Casey Barnhouse, Jimmy Hurley, and Jason Hunt. These four along with Joey Montgomery had the fans cheering. Montgomery made a late race charge but, finished second. Two caution periods slowed then event. One for debris and the other for a stuck throttle on the car of “Doc” Probst. Chasing Worley at the end are Joey Montgomery, Jimmy Hurley, Jason Hunt and Casey Barnhouse.

Modified action was hot as usual. Matt Eaton was making a second attempt at the “Hat Trick,” but fell short as he finished second in the Main event. Eaton would lead the first five laps of the event. Working the low groove as he did the week before, Eaton jumped out on eventual winner Brent Thompson. With bragging right for Park Hills on the line, these two drivers put on a show for 15 laps. No caution flags waved to slow the event. Both drivers were on their “A” Game. Any mistake would cost a position. Kent Nations, Jeremy Greenwalt, and David Shepard completed the top five. They also had a great view of the high side, low side racing of the leaders.

Not to be out done by the previous divisions. The Pure Streets put on probably the best show of the evening. Racing for a top prize of $600 to win, Charlie Savage fought hard and won the event. He was challenged by a host of racers. Savage, Dave Wofford, Brian Blair, Eddie Gross, and Chris Boyd were so close, one would seem the was not space between them. Savage’s car showed signs of wheel rub on the door panels. Savage led the first 9 laps of the event, Chris Boyd led the next two and looked as if he would win. Savage got back around and held his ground. Savage earned the hard fought win followed by Chris Boyd, Brian Blair, Dave Wofford, and Ronnie Sweeney.

Multi action found newcomer Cody Cleaves, Willow Springs, MO in the Winners Circle for the first time in his career. Surviving several challenges by runner up Kyle Amerson and Jason Daugherty to claim the win. One caution and one red flag slowed the event. Both were for Brandon Nixon, caution for a spin and the red for a roll over. This was the second week in a row for Nixon to be lid runner. He walked to the ambulance after his tumble. Cleaves, Amerson, Daugherty, Chilton and Brian Keen are the top five.

Another showing by the B-Modifieds found long time runner Randy Forster in the Winners Circle. Leading the event from start to finish, Forster had his hands full with more than one challenge from “The Hustler” Kenny Harris. Harris, who claimed his 100 career win earlier in the year, pushed him hard and settled for a second place finish. Chad Despain takes third place honors, with Jim Hartzell fourth and Bryan Richards completing the top five.

Next week, Labor Day Weekend, St Francois County Raceway will have just regular show of 410 Winged Sprints, Modifieds, Pure Streets and 600 Multi’s. Grandstand and Pit Gates open at 4:00 pm.
