DOE RUN, MO--(June 11, 2007) Jesse Wright cruised his way to victory in the 15 lap Kart Madness feature event held this past Friday at Doe Run Raceway.
Garrett Burns finished second to Wright in the event, Scottie Gretzmacher third, Chandler Franklin fourth and Travis Almon fifth.
In heat race action, Burns won the first heat, Damien Atchley second and Maggie Almon third. Wright won the second heat, Lee Stuppy second and Gretzmacher third.
In the Mini Stock class main event, Casey Barnhouse of Farmington, MO crossed the line first with CJ Wright hot on his heels. Last week's winner Ron Moser picked up the third spot, Tod Brinly fourth and Ray Statler fifth.
Wright won the first heat, Brinley second and Steve Wright third. Barnhouse won the second heat followed by Moser and Megan Bell.
In the Poweri Micro division, Eric Edwards carried the checkers for the A-Main, HRE racing second, Sam Miller third, Brian Keen fourth and Ron Slade fifth.
HRE won the heat race, Edwards second and Jeff Wurst third.
Keith Buckley earned two victories in the 305 Sprint class. Josh Worrell finished second to Buckley in both events.
George Smith picked up a feature win in the hornet divison. Joey Gilliam finished second, Jeff Straughan third. Heat race results were Smith, Gilliam and Ricky Pyatt.
Racing will resume Friday, June 14th with all classes participating. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., practice begins at 7:30 p.m., racing begins at 8:00 p.m.
