Dirt on Dirt says they were surprised by the low fan count at I-55 Saturday. I have to say at 5pm the place looked pretty empty for a one day $20,000 to win show. As a fan, if we want these big shows, we have to support them. I know later in the evening it was a decent turnout but i figured it...
I love I-55 but I don't care for fountain soda. So you are forced to try and get it out of the soda machines. I can't tell you how many times the soda gets stuck, or wont take your money. It would be nice if they would just sell 20oz bottled soda over the counter at the concession stand also...
From my vantage point near turn one, I did not think Stovall raced Manville dirty in the B-main. Even if he did, Manville finished third and would of got the provisional instead of Keifer. With as racy as the track was during the feature, Manville could have finished in the top 10 but instead he...
This is probably more of a question for Dirt on Dirt, but the schedule from Dirt on Dirt does not show the $2500 to win show this Friday at Belle-Clair. I would think Belle-Clair would want to promote that both for drivers and fans. What's the deal? Dirt on Dirt is pretty good about posting the...
Is there a way to tell the difference between a Rocket, Rayburn, Victory Circle or Bloomquist chassis just by watching it from the stands? Do you have to crawl underneath it to tell the difference?
First off, I am not much of a "Pitdrifter". Friday at Tri-City will be my first time to buy a pitpass for my son and I. My son is asking me if the drivers will sign the pictures he has of some of them. So, my question is, are drivers receptive to signing autographs before the Hot Laps start? Or...
Is their a specific reason why Robbie Eilers' modified has the neon ribbons hanging from the back of his car? My son asked me this and I did not have much of an answer for him.
Did anybody else see Kenny Wallace give a shout out to Bobby Bittle yesterday on the Speed Channel. The guy is a class act. I have been looking on the web to find the clip and post it but so far no luck. Kenny, you were fun to watch Saturday at I-55. Don't ever stop coming Home...
Just got home from the World 100. If you are a fan that waits until they are dropping the green flag on the first heat race, to try and find your seat at a huge event, you are a jerk. And it always seems that you sit in the middle of the row. Understand that you are taking a chance of getting...
I seen this afternoon that Randy Korte was added to the entry list. Is there any other local drivers entering. Kloos? B. Faust? Manville? I am looking forward to my first World 100.
Where would you go? The Prairie Dirt Classic in Fairbury Illinois. 10,000 to win, Or the Larry Phillips memorial at Lebanon I-44 Speedway paying 7,500 to win. I have never been to either track. From my house, only about 20 miles difference. Help me out racing community. Which do you think will...
I have the utmost respect for all the racers out there. Maybe more for the driver that is competitive, but never gets that checkered flag. Can someone out there explain to me how a driver can show up every week and run towards the middle or back of the pack consistently and not loose his or her...
This will be my first time to the World 100. Do they just do qualifying on Friday night or is their Heat races also. Also, need any insight about lessons learned from the racing community. I have been to Eldora's website and read the QandA. But just looking for any lessons learned from some...
