Lenexa’s ‘Wolf Brothers’, Ben and Will, won every race they competed in Saturday night during the season’s final run of the “Coliseum Indoor Winter Speedway Kart Racing Series’ on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia.

Oak Grove’s Jacob Stanley discovered that perseverance paid-off as he became the seventh different feature winner this season in the 5 through 8 year-old driver-aged, Anderson Kart Racing Engines Rookie Beginners.

For Will Wolf, his 7th seasonal victory put him into the points lead and resultant championship over year long top runner Blake David from Fulton. The two stayed side by side in the points running throughout the series in the Terry’s Osage Express Rookie Advanced category.

Ben’s brother Will first pulled down top honors in the night’s Goody’s Steakburger Junior 1 Light then turned around and won again in the Busso’s AA Muffler Junior 1 Heavies. Will came in second in the Light points chase, won by Fulton’s Jordan Holland.

Holland was one of two different division champions as he was also tops in the Heavy division.

The other ‘double championship’ contender was the ‘king of two cycles’, Jefferson City’s Mike Floyd. A many-time past champ, he was awarded the throne in both the Russell’s Karting Specialties Controlled 2-cycle and the KDKD-FM “Checkered Flag” Open.

Other champs included popular Melody Simpson of Versailles in the Kix Country Krazy Kage Karts, Fulton’s Patrick J. Mahnken in the TCI Tire Centers Junior 2 Heavies and Marshall’s Derick Samson, who had to wait until a week ago to move to the top in the Mazzio’s Pizza Stock Mediums.

Full results of the finale’ and the championship winners are listed below.
