By Brian Dunlap WoO LMS PR Vienna, WV (Sept. 28, 2004) The World of Outlaws Late Model Series Dirty Dozen will kick off the month of October and their final month of racing for the season with a trip to Parkersburg, WV to race West Virginia Motor Speedway’s third annual “RaceFest” October first and second. The high horsepower weekend will feature two full nights of racing as the Dirty Dozen take on local favorites as well regional competitors form the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series.

“We are excited about being involved with the World of Outlaws and the Dirty Dozen, their drivers are the best of the best and offer the fans a terrific show,” commented race promoter Pat Minnite. The 5/8-mile track under Minnite’s direction attracts the bravest competitors and thousands of thrill seeking fans every year. With its wide straights and beautiful sweeping corners, West Virginia Motor Speedway has earned the reputation as a “palatial circuit of speed and excitement.” “The World of Outlaws is the group that will take West Virginia Motor Speedway to the next level,” said Minnite.

West Virginia Motor Speedway is also the home track for Dirty Dozen driver Mike Balzano in the #E1 Smoker Friendly / Biscotti’s Restaurant / Eddie’s Auto Parts / Hoosier Tire / West Virginia Motor Speedway / Rocket Chassis Chevrolet Monte Carlo based out of Parkersburg, WV. “We normally run well at West Virginia Motor Speedway and we are looking forward to bringing the Outlaws to the state and the track for the first time in 2004,” commented Balzano. “The best we have finished at the track was second and we’re hoping to use our experience at the track to pull off our first win of the season with the Outlaws.”

Dirty Dozen Driver Scott Bloomquist in the #0 Miller Brothers Coal / Hawkeye Trucking / Custom Race Engines / Allstar Performance / Hoosier Tire / Sweet Manufacturing Ford Taurus is no stranger to “RaceFest” and West Virginia Motor Speedway either. Bloomquist is the current track champion, having won the race in 2003. Bloomquist will also use his track experience to his advantage as he battles to hold onto his new series points lead over Steve Francis in the #15 Valvoline / Mopar / Freeport Recycle Center / Action Auto Mart / Rocket Chassis Dodge Intrepid. Only 7 points separates Bloomquist from Francis, and with the season winding down every point becomes more and more valuable.
