'09 season??? (at I-55)

Since there is absolutely nothing going on here on STLracing right now... thought I'd throw a question out there.

Does the racing season at I-55 always start in March? Since last season was my first season of racing, I don't know when the season usually begins??? And I'm already getting antsie about getting back out there!

Is everyone working hard on their cars for next year? Are you as excited as me? I miss seeing you all.... :D

Hey Momma B,

Yes, I do believe it always starts in March. It's been that way since I've started racing in '05 at least. We usually have our Playday the 2nd to last weekend of March and then Opening Night is usually the very next week unless Mother Nature starts PMSing again this year. Haven't started working on the "Killer Bee" yet, but gonna start wothin the next week or so. I'm going to go see about getting her frame starightened out before I do anything else to her. Then immeadiately after that I'm goingto talk to Pops and see if there is still a spot open for her up at your place. I figured if we're all gonna be one team then all out cars should be housed together. How's the rest of our team cars coming along?

Well, Gerald and Jake (after school) have been working on them. The Tempo (Billy's car) just needs a little body work done. Jake's mustang is ready for paint and then graphics. Mine, Gerald said he's waiting on some parts to come in. As far as Star's car, they're doing some sheet metal work on it right now. And then Arons car they've been doing some welding and sanding on it. As for Pop's car...it's still in the shop!.... that's the update on Buechting Racing! LOL!;)

what no in progress pictures :eek:

Nope...that way all you guys get to see is the finished car! And then you can be impressed more!! LOL! I'll just post a pic of the cars at the end of last season and then a pic of them when they're all done...you'll absolutely be able to see a difference! LOL....not dents!! Star would help willingly..but she's gone to college and can't find that much time to help Pop out. Not that she isn't wanting to... but school work comes first!!! My hopes for her are someday for her to be....DR. Jessica Buechting, female Stock Car Driver!!! Then she can just hire someone to do the body work!!!! LOL!

Miss ya Derek!

I think pop is much better off if she does not help him. No offense Jessica.

Maybe she can paint the rollcage pink over the winter, so she can match tha cage to those runaway wheels.

i wont be a Dr probably so you can chill mr hardesty

Excuse me mr range, i think i can handle working on the racecar :D but this princess has tests she needs to study for so daddy takes care of me. wouldnt know what i would do without him!

see you betches at the rules meeting

i wont be a Dr probably
you better be we have high expectations of you

See ya at the rules meeting Ill even save yas a seat

You darn tootin' WE have high expectations of her! We already know Jake's gonna be a crime-fightin' (police officer), welldrillin', race car driver.... And by-God She's gonna be a doctor! She doesn't give herself enough credit for how smart she is. She might come across as a ditzy blonde, but I guarantee that under neith that faceade is one brilliant lil' cookie! Jessica is stuck in that period where she's tired of school and wants to enjoy a little bit of life. And I don't blame her. She's spent the last 15.5 years being an excellent student. But if she can just hang in there...she'll go farther than anyone of the rest of us in the family have gone. (no pressure here sis!!!) j/k You always want better for your kids than you had... and she's no exception to that rule. Besides.....she HAS to have some kind of high paying job.. so that when Pop's and I are old and decrepid, she can keep us in the life style we've grown accustom to....yeah...hire someone to change our depends!!!!

Not to change the subject here...but...

I'm sad to hear that Mike Brown is selling out and not gonna return next season...that ****s! And there are others as well. Gerald Gottschalk the #87 car, and I heard Chuck may or may not return... Jason Marquitz is out... Good-God...who's left? Good news is that I did hear thru a friend of Lou Driemeire (spelling) that this friend's daughter (16 yr old) will be joining us along with Lou's son out on the track in the Pro-4's. So sadly losing some of the other driver's is replaced with knowing there will be new kids out there! I for one, can't hardly wait to get back out there! This cold weather has put a halt on all the body work that needs to be done on our cars. So right now it's just a waiting game. But maybe the next nice sunny day we have I go out and take a few pics to give you guys something to see in the mean time. (my God I'm board)!!

Hope to see ya all at the rules meeting!:D

oh gawd that is so gross your talking about your old people diapers on stlracing.com . . there are some things nobody wants to think about..

Man Star...........

I think your momma just called you a ditzy blonde. Are you gonna take that????????????

Believe me I don't want it to be like that.
But unless something pops up then I wont be.
I had her all ready to go to.
Good luck with the cars!!
