$1,000 to WIN for HORNETS and MODIFIEDS, Macon Speedway October 16th!

Midwest Speed has announced plans for the 1st Annual 4 Cylinder World Championship to be held October 16, 2004 at the World's fastest 1/5 Mile MACON Speedway in Macon, Illinois. The event will be 50 laps and will pay the winner an unheard of $1,000.00 to win, $50.00 to start for the hornet division! Also on the card for the event is a $1,000.00 to win, $75.00 to start event for modifieds running under UMP rules and a $350.00 to win event for the street stock class.

The race season will have ended at most Midwestern tracks and the UMP Points will have ended the week prior to this event, so there should be a nice turnout of competitors on hand!

Pit passes are $25.00 for each division with general admission $10.00 for adults and free for children 11 and under with a paid adult. There is an entry fee for the Hornet division and the Modified division of $20.00 if recieved prior to September 01, 2004. If recieved after September 01, the entry fee is $30.00 per car in those divisions. Entry forms can be obtained by calling (217) 529-6205 or (217) 553-1963 or by e-mailing a request to TJY11@AOL.COM. Additionally, a website for the event is in the design stages and should be up and running in the next week at WWW.MIDWEST-SPEED.COM. There is NO ENTRY FEE for the street stock class.

Mark your calendars now to be part of the festivities as we crown a WORLD CHAMPION Hornet division driver, in a fun filled day of activities. There will also be fan give-aways, door prizes and contingencies for the race divisions to be announced soon!
