2004 NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Schedule Released
LEXINGTON, KY--The 2004 racing season will see the debut of the region's newest open wheel modified touring series as the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series will be sanctioning modified races in Kentucky and Tennessee this season. The initial 11 races of the schedule have been announced with the anticipation of more dates to be added in the near future. These special modified events will carry a purse of $1500 to win and $125 to start each event. NARA Series Director, Spencer Wilson and NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series Race Director, Tim Sharp has also announced that the 2004 points champion for the series will receive $3,000. The top ten in the final points this year will receive cash prizes.
The series will utilize double file restarts in all of its events in 2004. The series will also allow an optional steel tube quick change rear end and an 8" spoiler on the back of the car.
