2005 Season Opener for the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modifieds Set for May 14

LEXINGTON, KY--After a successful debut in 2004 the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified Series gets into high gear this season with four consecutive weekends of open wheel excitement. The '05 season kicks off with a Saturday Night, May 14th appearance at the Lesa and Mack Gabbard promoted Soggy Bottom Speedway in Morgantown, KY as they host a $1,500 to win feature event for the BoB Modifieds. Also on the race card at Soggy Bottom will be the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series for a great twin bill of racing action.

The BoB Mod Squad will then go back to back the following weekend with a Friday Night, May 20th race at the Larry Yantz promoted Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY with a Saturday Night, May 21st show at the James Stinnett and Robert Reed promoted Richmond (KY) Raceway. Both shows will pay $1,500 to win.

To round out the month of May on Memorial Day Weekend the NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Modifieds take to the track at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY under the promotion of David and Anita Ferrell for a $1,500 race on Saturday Night, May 28th. Winding up the four straight weekends of modified racing the series heads to Eastern Kentucky to the Michael Osborne promoted 201 Speedway in Sitka, KY for a $1,500 to win main event on Saturday Night, June 4th

All NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified events are complete shows featuring Racing Optics Time Trials, Heat Races, Consy events and $1,500 to win A-Main Feature races. Kelly Warren of Columbia, KY is the defending series champion and he and several other drivers are anticipating the 2005 NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Open Wheel Modified season.
