2gBro, I have a ? about points.

36mmracer

Boyer Racing 52
I had 20 points before Martinsville and you had me listed after the race. did I not earn any points? You had me listed: 10) 36mmracer=58 what does the 58 mean? I ask these ?s only because I'm not sure how this works. I would just like to have a better understanding before next year since I got a late start this year. Thanks for running this, it makes the cup race a little more fun to watch.

I brought the rules back to the top so you can look them over. I hope they answer everything you need to know.

The 56 is what your guys positions added up to after taking away the best and worst finishers and you only get the points for finishing in the top 5 as explained in the rules.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask I will be happy to let you know.

"Thank you for the reply."

So when we pick or top5 it doesn't matter what order they finish except for the 10 point bonus, right? If I picked :
1) 24
2) 48
3) 8
4) 20
5) 21 and they finished:

1) 21 :)rolleyes: )
2) 20
3) 8
4) 48
5)24 I would drop 1 & 5 and then add 2+3+4=9 without a 10 bonus, but most likely would take 1st for that week. Again Thanks, I believe I've got it. Maybe next year I'll start @ Daytona and remember to pick in time  .

No everything matters on what order they finish. The person you pick who finishes the best and the person you pick who finishes the worst are then removed and the 3 remaining are the positions that are added up to get you your total.

Example is you pick

24
20
48
8
21

and they finish

24-12
20-15
48-4
8-6
21-1
I would remove 21-1 and 20-15 and add the finishing positions of 24,48,and 8 to get the total of 22 and those would be your score for that week. then depending on how your score compares to the others depends on your finishing order in the pool that week. with 1st place getting 5 points, 2nd getting 4, 3rd getting 3, 4th getting 2 and 5th getting 1.

Noone has ever managed to get the elusive 10 bonus points for picking for having all 5 of there picks finish in the top five but therehave been a few real close. you can also earn 3 bonus points for getting the pole pick right for that week. those points are added to you cumulative points for the year.

I hope I got that all cleared up for you. Any other questions let me know.

Thank you, I now understand that part.
Next question: If qualifying is rained out, No pole points awarded that week? If pole points are awarded during a rain out week, all you would have to do is watch the forcast for rain and pick the current points leader. Just a ?

Thats a good question. Its never really been an issue before so if someone is smart enough to do that right now they get the points but I want to change that for next year.
