(Warrensburg) The 305 Sprints will be racing for an increased purse at Central Missouri Speedway during the Central Auto Racing Boosters and Heartland Waste Race Night this Saturday, July 8th.

CMS owners, Earl and Susan Walls recently announced the special payout event this weekend to help increase the car count and give local drivers another chance to add to their feature purse winnings with at least 12 drivers racing for the checkers. Drivers can call (816) 229-1338 for additional information.

CMS is excited to host the C.A.R.B. races again this season. Drivers who are C.A.R.B. members and make the A feature will receive $15.00. Additionally, the Larry Kaster Driver Appreciation Awards will be presented at intermission and there will also be a special drivers’ autograph session for kids and race fans of all ages.

Josh Fisher from Smithton has been dominant in the 305 Sprint class with several other young drivers including Austin Alumbaugh, Zach Goulden and Christi Hoenshell shooting for him at the CMS high banks.

The Streets Stocks are another hotly contested class as Bobby Raybourn from Odessa leads with John Ebert and Jimmy Ngo close behind. Additionally, the Street Stocks will be racing for the bonus Contingency Connection awards during their feature event this weekend.

The Limited Late Models produce some great racing action each week with Smithville’s Brett Rollert in the lead. Owen Evinger, Richard Leigh and Shawn Williams are chasing him in the point’s race.

A great battle for the lead in the Mighty Modified division finds Joe Bradshaw from Sedalia along with Aaron Marrant, Dennis Walrath and Jim Moody very close in the points chase. Tony Nelson from Blue Springs is firmly ahead in the newly added B-Modified division point standings.

The weekly Contingency Connection classes of Mighty Modifieds, Limited Late Models, 305 Sprints, B- Modifieds and Street Stocks will be racing for the checkers at Central Missouri Speedway with gates opening at 5 and the first green flag heat races at 7:30. Central Missouri Speedway is located just four miles north of Warrensburg off Hwy 13 or 14 miles south of I-70.
