This Friday June 29th is JBHawks night and the final race of the first half of the season before we take some time off for the fair. Another great show on tap at Jacksonville Speedway. 305 Sprints, Kendall Oil Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Hornets as well as a makeup Hornet feature from last Friday.

And we were given a Facebook challenge by Andy Frost at JBHawks... if we get them a couple hundred new likes to their new Facebook page - they'll pick-up $2 of your admission making it a $10 night this week.

So head over to the JBHawks page and give them a like. We'll see you Friday night. Gates open at 5:00. Racing at 7:00.

Adult admission $12 - maybe $10, ages 11-18 $5. Kids 10 and under Free.
 
So lets think of Friday as a Night race... It might be pretty warm during the day, but we have a pretty Cool night on tap for you Friday Night.

We are going to move everything back by 30 mins. Everything. That means Hot laps aren't 'till 7. Racing at 7:30. Full list of times below.

Then... we have a little bit of boom, boom we were going to shoot off tonight for the Outlaws show. Nothing huge - but we'll shoot what we have on hand Friday when it gets dark - let's say 9:30.

Then as we mentioned last week, we have our "clean out the cooler before the fair" happy hour this week from 9-10 with $2 16oz domestics.

And on top of that... Andy at JBHawks said to roll with the $10 admission on JB Hawks night. So let's call this our JB Hawks Mid Season Blowout.

305 Sprints, Kendall Oil Pro Late Models, Modifeds, Street Stocks and Hornets - plus last week's Hornet make-up feature.

Remember - Covered grandstand that faces East. Big fans down below where it never seems to get hot, Air conditioned concession stand. We are sitting in the shade from the time we walk in the door and the sun starts to go down a little after 8.

Adult admission $10, Ages 11-18 $5. Kids 10 and under Free.

Grandstands open at 5:30. Hot Laps 7:00. Racing at 7:30.

Tommy just gave us the Thumbs Up and after a downpour last night that turned the race track into a pond - WE ARE RACING TONIGHT at Jacksonville Speedway!

And here's the list of reasons you should make it a point to visit tonight:

- 5 Classes of cars and 6 features: 305 Sprints, Modifieds, Kendall Oil Pro Late Models, Street Stocks and 2 Hornet features.
- $10 Admission thanks to JBHawks. I'm giving you till noon to go over and Like their page because this afternoon around noon they are going to make a post to give two tickets away for tonight's races on their FB page.
- Drawing for a pair of Kane Brown Tickets. Most Likely we will draw from the numbers on your armbands - but we might have you fill out a sign-up paper. We'l let you know.
- A few fireworks. Don't come expecting a Huge 4th of July Bash. But we have some we were going to shoot during the parade lap and at checkers of our Outlaw show that we probably should shoot off instead of keep in storage. Still - It's some boom, boom, boom.
-Happy Hour from 9:00 to 10:00 with $2 16oz domestic beers.
- Scotty Cook - who you might know as a part of the Racin' Boys team, Chili Bowl Broadcasts and ASCS National tour is going to stop by and play with the microphone a little with Brian and try to add some driver interviews and commentary to the night.
- Covered Grandstand, Big fans down below, Air conditioned concession Stand, Temps falling to the high 80's at race time and then further as the night goes on. Tonight isn't a huge crowd night, and except for when we've had huge crowds I can't remember it being crazy hot sitting in our shaded grandstand.
-Last race before a big break for our County Fair. It'll be mid July before you can watch racing here again.

So pay us a visit tonight at Jacksonville Speedway. Pit gates open at 4:30. Grandstand opens at 5:30. Driver Registration ends at 6:30. Hot Laps 7:00. Racing at 7:30.

Dumb Promoter Alert:
The last thing you want to do on a day like today is announce a free stream in advance. But we are planning to stream tonight's race for Free on our YouTube channel here:https://www.youtube.com/jacksonvillespeedway/ Usually I wait until everyone comes and make sure we have a decent crowd before we decide to roll with the stream.

But tonight I know there are some of you that might be coming a distance to race with us with other tracks having cancelled with family that can't make it and some of our older fans really might have good reason to avoid the heat. So... with 9 hours notice, run down to Walmart and get a Roku stick or something and go by grandma and grandpa's and get them hooked up so they can watch you race tonight.

One caveat - Right now our internet at the track is down due to last night's storm, but I'm told they will have it back up and running before race time. I can't control that.

For the rest of you... we are treating tonight as a test. I don't think we can throw much more incentive at a race than we have for this one. Truthfully, what we see in the stands tonight is going to influence future decisions we make on days like this. We'd be really dumb if it didn't. Personally, I think you have every reason in the world to come to the race track tonight. It's going to be a great show sitting in the shade as temps are falling with plenty of beverages of your choosing available and a slightly later start time and lower price. Do the right thing - join us for a great time!
