will it have a effect if my mounts on the rearend are wider than on the chassis or should i move the rearend mounts in?
will 3/4 swedge tubes be stromg enough on a 3300# car 3/8 sweeping asphalt or shopuld i fab some out of tap tube? Rick gokee@cablespeed.com

The wider mount on the rear end shouldn't make much difference. I think you might even be able to move a lil' preload around by moving the tube left and right a bit. But you'll need to play with that and see.

Swedge tubes are used in the dirt scene for what you are doing but I'm not sure how they would hold up on asphalt. I don't think I woul;d want to run them in a drag car imo....

i wouldnt want to use those tubes in a drag car either but wasnt sure if they would be strong enough for asphalt 3/8 mile sweeping turns
i could use tubing called tap tube that is 1 inch and be tapped 3/4 left and right threads thanks for the reply and hope someone can fill me in on if it works for them. Rick
 
I'd go with the tap tube if it were mine. But they loads shouldn't too much for the swedge tube imo.

I was just comparing the Drag to you situation because they are both asphalt. But the loads applied to the drag car are greater during thier launch and you'll not be seeing that.
