a couple of pics for older open wheel fans.

Open Wheeler
the one is a tin indy roadster i found in horrible shape, and i spent a lotta time staightening it out, and painting it to look like a car dad drove at indy in '65. just need to have some scale sponsor decals made, and it's done... hello vinyl visions!! the other one is dad at indy in '69 the rr suspension broke coming down the front straight at about 180 mph, causing the car to make an an abrupt and severe right turn, nosing the car into the wall, and spinning down the straight. he got out of the car and waved his arms, because he knew there was a large group of cars behind him he had just passed. some of you may enjoy seeing old racecar pics you dont see anymore. i know i do.

Art,
Did the 29 car have a Ford (derived) engine?
THANX RICH

People say I'm getting crankier as I get older. That's not it. I just find I enjoy annoying people a lot more now. Especially younger people!!!

when you pull your head out of your *** long enough to even drive a racecar, much less good enough to get to indy, then AND ONLY THEN can you tell anyone else what to do. until then stick with your 12hp craftsman tractor. btw, what's a 'tring'?

tooka tour of the track acouple of years ago lol and my lil lady say where are we at I said on the track she asked again and again finally she say man this place is huge

the wife(she had never been there) and i took a tour about 7 years ago( it was the day after tony renna was killed in a practice crash in one of ganassi's cars)... it was very un-nerving to see the damage in the grandstands between turns 3 and 4. the car actually left the track, hit a part of the stands, and vaulted him back onto the track. just visualizing what happened was scary in itself. the place is mind boggling.

i love this sh$t,and the way the car looks, maybe your dad should of stayed home too!!! lmfao

why would you degrade a perfectly good latemodel by hauling that piece of shi t around the track with it?

oh; thanks for the compliment mike.

I was at the race that year and after the race they had a lot of pictures in the paper. I save all the picture and keep the in the program from that year.

I will send you a copy.

Wally
