Well, I-55 Raceway, Tri-City Speedway, Belle-Clair Speedway & now Highland Speedway do not qualify any classes for weekly shows.

That is the purpose of passing points. Not sure how Farmer City does qualifying and passing points.
Simple. Qualifying dictates where you start in a heat race and which heat you're in. Then when you race theytuse passing points. There are some people that can qualify but not race well and vice-versa.

to me ,qualifying is a snooze fest. true,it may be a fairer way to place cars in the feature, but i find it boring as all get out. i would much rather see heat races than qualifying and if someone who normally doesnt qualify well gets into the feature it doesnt bother me at all. and with most tracks around here running 4 classes or more, the time factor and track factor make them all the more unappealing,at least for weekly shows. i got to admit though, qualifying does eliminate a few cars that probably arent real good in the first place. but where are those guys gonna get track time to get better?

I like the Super Lates qualifying for the big shows myself. It's about the only time you get to hear what one engine is doing the entire lap or 2.......you gotta love it when somebody stays in it all the way around a high banked track. Or see Billy Moyer lay down the perfectly smooth lap. It's poetry in motion.
