After a successful first day of practice, Macon Speedway is ready to do it again!

Macon Speedway drivers will still have another opportunity to test their newly built cars for the 2009 racing season during our second Test N Tune day scheduled for Sunday, March 29 from 12 to 4 PM. Pit admission again will be $20. Fans are welcome to view practice and get a glimpse of the new cars and will be admitted to the grandstands for free. Bring the family, come watch your favorite drivers, have a hot dog and get ready for the action packed season at Macon Speedway.

Opening Night/Second Annual Spring Fling on April 4 will officially kick off an exciting season of racing at Macon Speedway, featuring UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, UMP Street Stocks and UMP Hornets. The 2009 schedule showcases a variety of traditional fan favorite special events plus two Nights of NASCAR stars when NASCAR drivers are available for autographs and actually compete with local favorites. A third Night of NASCAR stars will be announced in the near future, so watch our website for more information.

Macon Speedway’s exciting summer schedule includes a Memorial Day Special featuring the Northern All-Star Late Models plus NASCAR Stars on May 25, followed by the Lite Beer Twin 50’s on June 6 and NASCAR Night II on June 11 featuring Macon Speedway Co owner Tony Stewart. The ever popular Herald & Review 100 in combination with UMP Summer Nationals will be held on July 2. Return to the track for the Firecracker 40’s (plus fireworks) on July 4, which will definitely fire things up for the Independence Day Holiday. Bring your family and friends on July 4 for hot racing, hot food and spectacular fireworks!

Macon Speedway will also host the POWRi Midgets and Micros several times this year at Macon Speedway with the first date for the open wheelers set for April 25.

Macon Speedway would like to announce that the Kids Club will have new and exciting things going on this year in 2009, details coming soon!

Fans won’t want to miss any of the action at Macon Speedway with a full summer of hot weekly racing action every Saturday night combined with an exciting mix of special events. Macon Speedway will run regular weekly racing through the end of September, so bring your family and friends out to the track and experience the hottest ticket in town.
