CARTERSVILLE, GA – The next two events for the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series will be this Friday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL and this Saturday night at Corinth Speedway in Corinth, MS with a pair of 40-lap $2,000-to-win races. The two races will be co-sanctioned with the Promoter’s Racing Organization (PRO) Dirt Car Series.

An impressive field of super late model drivers representing five states are expected this Friday night at North Alabama Speedway and this Saturday night at Corinth Speedway, as member drivers continue to battle for the top ten positions that will be paid out of the $22,000 NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series point fund, with $10,000 going to the Champion at season’s end.

David Breazeale of Kosciusko, MS holds a four-point lead over Anthony Burroughs of Sheffield, AL in the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series point standings. National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductee Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN is third in the points chase, just ten points out of first-place using the GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine.

The top two drivers in the point standings have a pair of top five finishes. Breazeale has 188 points, and Burroughs has 184 points. Johnson has one top five finish and two top ten finishes to tally 178 points. Rick Rickman of Columbus, MS is fourth with 170 points, and Kyle Beard of Truman, AR is fifth in the NeSmith SDCS standings with 168 points.

If a driver wins the championship using a GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine purchased from NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA, the dealership will pay the champion a $5,000 bonus to make for a title worth $15,000. The GM Performance CT525 Spec Engine is in stock and readily available at NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA with free next day delivery anywhere in the Southeast for $7,195, and race-ready with all of the needed accessories except carburetor for $10,100.

The NeSmith Super Dirt Car Series will sanction super late model races in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee in 2010.
