Belton, MO's Alan Vaughn came up the big winner with the O'Reilly MLRA in 2004 as he captured his third straight crown and fourth overall. Vaughn capped off the season with the win at Outlaw Motor Speedway in Muskogee, OK that sealed the title and held off hard charging Jason Bodenhamer from Centerview, MO by 66 points in the final tally 1512 to 1446.
Bodenhamer had one of his best season ever on the O'Reilly MLRA Thunder Tour picking up multiple victories and challenging Vaughn right to the very end. Veteran O'Reilly MLRA competitor and three time champion Al Purkey brought his machine from his Coffeyville, KS base to finish third with Brett LaFollette and O'Reilly MLRA rookie TJ Kuykendall rounding out the top five in the final standings.
With the 2004 O'Reilly MLRA Thunder Tour completed all that remains is to hand out the championship hardware.
