CAMARGO, IL - After much anticipation, the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series has released the schedule for the 2006 racing season. Many exciting events will be introduced as a part of the 2006 campaign. The goal for 2006 has been to maintain stability in the All Star series and in 410 sprint car racing in general. For the past 3 decades, there have two premier touring 410 sprint car series. The addition of a third touring series in 2006 has not affected the operations of the All Stars in any way. In fact, the All Stars will have more $10,000 to win races than ever before and will once again pay a points fund of nearly $175,000 with an additional $60,000 in contingency awards. Only one 410 sprint car organization pays more in cash and prizes than the All Stars.

Newly formed relationships with the XPLEX Extreme Competition Park and the Westwood Development Group have revitalized the All Stars organization and will bring new concepts in racing entertainment into the 2006 season and beyond. Events are being planned to give the ticket buying fans more than just a race. The All Stars plan to bring entertainment value to the forefront with special events and promotional exhibitions for one ticket price. Other exciting events and promotions are being planned that will be implemented into the racing program itself that will make things more interesting for fans and drivers alike.

With sales pending on the purchase of certain facilities currently being pursued by this new group, dates at those facilities will not be announced until the real estate transactions have closed. There are also a handful of other dates that have been verbally committed to, but contracts have not yet been signed. These will be announced at a later date. The “Thunder Through The Plains” portion of the schedule will also be announced at a later date when all contracts have been signed and deposits delivered.

Early June will make for an interesting bit of travel when the All Stars visit Wayne County Speedway on June 1, Williams Grove on June 2, Lincoln Speedway on June 3 and then make a 648 mile trek to Terre Haute Action Track on June 4. The last leg of this weekend tour will be known as the “All Star Cannonball Run”. All participating teams will receive a case of Red Bull at the end of the Lincoln Speedway A-main event. At that time, the race is on to Terre Haute. The first team to arrive at the Terre Haute Action Track will receive $300 bonus money in addition to their regular tow money.

Ohio Speedweek will once again be the crown jewel in the All Star schedule for 2006. The week will kick off at K-C Raceway this year and end at Eldora, where the Speedweek Champion will be crowned and the Ohio Speedweek $10,000 points fund will be distributed. We would like to welcome Wayne County Speedway back as part of the Ohio Speedweek tradition in 2006.

The All Stars will also co-sanction several races in 2006 with the World of Outlaws at many of the "SLS Promotions" events. Visit www.slspromotions.com for more information. Series owner Guy Webb says, “This is a great opportunity for our drivers to gain experience and exposure at some of the Outdoor Channel televised events and to have the opportunity to race for more prize money. There’s a new sheriff in town,” he continued, “and I have deputized my drivers to go after the Outlaws and bring them to justice.”

The teams who will be competing with the All Stars in 2006 include Danny Smith, Dale Blaney, Paul May, Tim Hunter, Brock Mayes, Greg Wilson, Cody Geldart, Barry Ruble, Dean Jacobs, Jeff Shepard, Chad Blonde, Andrew Palker. As in every other year, other regional stars will also participate in many of the All Star races, such as Byron Reed, Kelly Kinser, Tim Montgomery, Craig Mintz, Jason Dukes, Fred Rahmer, Lance Dewease, Greg Hodnett, and a host of others who will come out and race when the All Stars are in their area. Its part of the mystery that makes the All Stars great. You never know who might show up on any given night. Several other drivers have been in contact with the series requesting membership information and those announcements will be made at a later date when we recieve firm committments from those teams that they plan to run the bulk of our schedule. The 2006 schedule, though still somewhat of a work in progress, is as follows as of today's date:
