The originally scheduled June 9 All-Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series event at the Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois has been rescheduled for Thursday July 22. The event, sponsored by Stein Automotive in Belleville, had to be rescheduled due to persistent rain.

The July 22 All-Star show will be the first ever visit of the series to the
very small, but exciting Belle-Clair speed plant.

Sprint cars have raced only twice at Belle-Clair during open-competition
programs in 1998 and 1999. Both of those shows were won by Jerrod Hull of
Sikeston, MO.

The special Thursday night show should attract a large contingent of local
sprint car drivers from neighboring St. Francois County and Jacksonville
Raceways such as brothers Tim and Joey Montgomery, Robbie Standridge, Terry
Babb, Jimmy Moughan, and Jerrod Hull.

The All-Stars will bring their series regulars which include defending
All-Star champion Chad Kemenah of Ohio, Danny Smith, Greg Wilson, Jac Haudenschild, Paul May and Bill
Rose.

The All-Stars will compete for a $5,000 first place prize during the main
event on July 22.

Belle-Clair Speedway is located at the intersection of Illinois routes 159
and 13 at the St. Clair County Fairgrounds in Belleville, a town just east
of St. Louis, MO.
