SPRINGFIELD, IL (September 14, 2005) – Justin Allgaier has had an eventful 2005 racing season as he competed in everything from the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA RE/MAX Series on pavement to midgets, the USAC Silver Crown tour and dirt late models on dirt. Additionally, the 19-year-old Illinoisan also participated in various tests with NASCAR teams and was selected as one of the twenty-five finalists in Roush Racing’s “Gong Show”. While Allgaier was only able to compete in a handful of dirt late model events due to pavement commitments, the young wheelman is looking forward to finishing his dirt racing season with three premier upcoming events.

“Between the NASCAR and ARCA events, we were limited on time, resources and crew to run more dirt late model races. I love the late models because it is totally different from the feel of the ARCA cars even on the dirt tracks - the car’s weight and high horsepower on the high-banks of places like Pevely or Macon, there’s no comparison,” commented Allgaier. “I-55 and the Springfield Mile are two of my favorites and we have had pretty good luck at both over the years and we just broke the 10 year old track record at the Mile in the ARCA car so hopefully we can match that in the late model. Starting in the open-wheel ranks, I always dreamed about racing at Knoxville and last year was awesome – competing against drivers from across the country, the atmosphere and the strong performance we had. I’m looking forward to these last three events that we’re going to tackle and hopefully we can end the season on a high note in the dirt car like we did last year.”

Allgaier’s racing season will officially draw to a close in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with MB Motorsports at Texas Motor Speedway but the final trio of dirt late model events at I-55 Raceway, the Illinois State Fairgrounds and Knoxville Raceway will wrap Allgaier Motorsports’ season.

This weekend, the World of Outlaws’ Late Model Series will join forces with United Midwestern Promoters for two popular, annual Midwestern races - the “Pepsi Nationals” at Ray Marler and Ken Schrader’s I-55 Raceway and the “Turbo Blue Illinois Fall Nationals” at the one-mile racetrack of the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Allgaier has a fondness for both tracks and holds track records at both venues – the late model record at I-55 Raceway and the ARCA stock car record at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

The #1a Hoosier Tire Midwest/U.S. Air Force/Petroff Towing Rayburn team will then step back in action at the legendary Knoxville Raceway for the 2nd annual “Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals” on September 29th-October 1st. Allgaier gave an impressive performance at the event’s debut in 2004 when he became the youngest competitor to make the A-Main and he was the highest finishing non-Xtreme Dirt Car Series competitor after an impressive seventh place finish.
