Allied Officials???

First off let it be known that I am a fan and personal friend of Mark Voigt and all of his crew. I don't go to every event so I am not up on all of what is going on.

Having said just that, I will probably get raked over the coal's because that seems to be the trend of racing in the present, but It doesn't bother me.

It seems that people can't wait to get home and fire up that old PC, in the comforts of their own home sitting in that old easy chair. I guess a PC in the house is cheaper than a hauler, trailer, all of the tools, spare parts, cars, motor's, so on and so forth to go racing.

Computer racing is safer because most of the time, no one knows who you are. You can use a screen name and type as dirty and mean as you want.

Back in the day, before computers, thats how long ago, there wasn't all of this controversy. Sure you had teams that didn't like teams and fans that didn't like certain drivers, but things never escaladed as some of the bull crap that has been thrown around on this web site!

Problems were taken care of on the race track. That doesn't mean that someone had to junk someone else's stuff, as what has been promised on here, they may have worked a little later in the shop to beat the guy the next week!

The deal with Mark and Kyle was not a wise thing on either ones part, but it was settled between them. Steffens Motorsports called Mark to buy some parts for their car the next week. NO HARD FEELINGS. Why hasn't anyone posted that?

It seem's that when some dirt came down on another well known latemodel driver a year or so ago, the post was pulled and a note was posted by the web host. I, along with most everyone else agreed.

Again this is just my opinion, but I think that this host would not put an end to any name calling and threatening post concerning Mark Voigt.

Mark has won five features this year at Bel-Vegas and not once has his picture been on here for the results. Maybe the host doesn't spend enough time in Marks trailer? Mark's wife gave away twenty or more t-shirts to kids, was this ever put on here? They went and bought two bicycles for junior fan club, was this ever put on here? They have always been free with signing door panels and used up parts for the kids or fans, has this ever been posted on here?

Last year when Mark and Fast Frankie got together, there was a post on here about a fued between them two and in fact, Mark's team was trying to help Frankie get back together. Thats how all of this stuff keeps going. He said she said.

Maybe VRI and Kreke Racing will never get along. But everyone getting on here and stirring the pot is not helping matters any.

Anytime someone out of racing hears the mention of racing, they think of rednecks. Maybe this is why.

I can't believe that Sam from UMP would sit by and let UMP get drug thru the mud as it has from the dealings at ALL of the local UMP tracks. This host is supposed to be a UMP supporter but it appears that maybe not.

Most of this could be prevented if everyone had to sign on with there name. No one could hide behind a screen name.

Lets let the racers race and if you thrive on controversy, watch Jerry Springer.

I will probably lose my priveleges here, but I think that this needed to be said.

Thanks,
Ken Johnson #17

Well said Ken..I know I have made some mad when I make a post but usually it is in the heat of anger or venting about a bad call ,does it help..No, beause what is done is done and can't be taken out of the record books.

AND Kudo's to Mark Voigt and team.

Ken,
I agree that people can't wait to get on there PC and stir the pot.
I do not think the people are saying anything about what they do for fans/kids
(with shirts, bikes, etc) they are talking about how he drives on the track, and
the things he does with his car on the track (under the yellows).
I would say 100% of the drives do the same things for the fans and kids at
the race track, when it comes to giving away things, but that is not put
on the website either. That has nothing to do with how he races on the track.

I have seen some of the things that they (VRI) have said and done to different drivers and race teams. Most of it is not good. But you can not expect the host to take something off this sit just because someone said something bad about VRI. If you do not like it when they say something bad, then when you are on the race track think about what you are doing and that you are there to race and try to win but not to trash the other racer.

As far as thriving on controversy, you need to talk to Walter, he loves it.
