I started running some UMP numbers on the top 25 Late Model and Modified competitors in the final 2004 points from the St. Louis area (my definition of St. Louis is anything within 100 miles of the Arch). I'd like for those of you who read this message thread to double check my information. If there is something to add, correct, or delete please me know. Thank you!

15 of the top 25 in points are St. Louis area competitors......

There were 308 features with the "local boys" winning 133.
There were 13 drivers who won 10 or more features (or double digit features). Seven of those 13 were also "local boys".
You have........(listed by number of feature wins.......the number before their name indicates where they finished in points).......those in parentheses are not "local".
1. Rodney Melvin...............25
(12. Don O'Neal had 18 wins)
4. Ed Dixon......................16

5. Bryan Collins.................10
6. Chad Zobrist.................10
(26. Shannon Babb and 32. Terry English also won 10)
I'm lost on what chassis and engine manufacturers fit my definition of local (100 miles of the Arch).
Under chassis I recognize Hammerle.
Under engines I think these might be local

Belleville (which I assume is Mark Schaefer)
Voigt & Landsford

Sellars
Hovis

I'd like to know the 15 Late Model and 10 Modified drivers listed hometowns. If I missed someone then I'd need their hometown too.
Thanks to everyone for your help.
Finally......I'm merely double checking my facts here and I'm not trying to start controversy of any kind. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS MESSAGE THREAD TO START ANY CONTROVERSY. I believe the accomplishments of these 25 drivers deserve some recognition and I am wanting ACCURATE facts.
