Any new news about LOS?

Does anyone know if LOS is going to open this year? Who is running it? etc.
 
I read somewhere that the track will be open for 6-8 special shows. Including the LOS 360 Sprint car nationals, that race is already on the ASCS Warrior region's schedule.

LOS is not on the schedule that was put on the Warrior Region Facebook page but is on the ASCS website. The Facebook schedule was posted after ASCS released the schedule. The following is off the Warrior's FB page.

You know what'd be nice? If kevin or Tammy would come out and tell us if they're planning on opening it or not instead of leaving everyone hanging! The place is struggling as it is, this isn't a good way to get cars to come and build the tracks reputation back up!

Maybe they are working on something...and simply don't know yet
 
I hope they can get something going over at LOS, if at the very least some special events. For race fans and drivers in that part of Missouri, there is a big void this year with the (apparent) idle state at LOS and 24 Raceway in Moberly. Callaway on Friday is the only option for the fans and drivers in the center of the state. For ULMA racing, which I am a part of, we would like to explore racing at LOS this year. We have several open Saturday race dates that may work if someone is to look into opening the facility. The dates are April 14, May 5, May 26, June 2, July 14, July 28, August 11, September 1, September 8, September 15, September 22, and September 29.
