(NEW LONDON, WISCONSIN) In big off-season news, Arnie Ranta Motorsports has come on board as a major sponsor of Terry Casey’s #42 Rocket / Pro Power entry. Arnie has been a long time supporter of Dirt Late Model racing throughout the upper Midwest and is now solidly behind the Casey Motorsports team. The sponsorship from Arnie Ranta Motorsports will allow Terry to do some more traveling in 2006, which will in turn provide him with more opportunities to compete in open motor competition.
“I am extremely excited about Arnie coming on board with our race team,”
exclaimed Casey in a telephone conversation today. “He is solidly behind our team and hopefully we can represent him in a first class fashion next season and for many years to come. I have to thank Arnie for backing our program this season and I look forward to a long relationship with him.”
The driver tabbed as "Mr. Excitement" had a very successful 2005 campaign and will be looking to hit the road even more in 2006. Terry had a great Florida Speedweeks in '05 and captured victories at the Langlade County (WI) Speedway, the Hibbing (MN) Speedway, and the Red Cedar (WI) Speedway. His win at Red Cedar was the annual 'Punky Manor Challenge of Champions' event and Terry received a cool $4,000 for that WISSOTA victory. Terry also finished second in the WISSOTA AMSOIL Series point standings and tenth in the WISSOTA Tri-Star Challenge title chase.
Terry would also like to announce that he will be opening up the 2006 racing season in Florida at both the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton from February 6-11 and the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville from February 13-18. There is also a chance that Terry will compete in the four events at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia from February 1-4, but that will be determined at a later date. Terry will be debuting a new Rocket Chassis when he does take to the track down south in a month or so.
