ATTN: All RWD Mini Stocks

Thanks John:

Thanks for the kind words John:

I wish more of you could have known her.
She was a true gear head at heart.
Holder of 2 AHRA 1/8 mile drag racing records in B/S F5 in 1965.
She could shift a four speed better than most guys I know.
Foot planted right on the mat through all four...
Never said a foul word to anyone and was always a lady.
We are going to miss her something awful.:(:(:(

I will get the big race rules firmed up with Mel and I would like to do the press release.
Just a formality of course!

Thanks again:

ed.

Ed

Very sorry to hear of your loss, I know a little of what you are an will go through because I lost my Mother an my Wife of 45 years to cancer also. God bless your family now an the days to come. P.S. ED we will try to have the 01 there on the BIG RACE DAY.

to uncle ed

sorry to hear of your lost, it sounds like all of the racing community lost someone close to us all, even if we didn't know her. perhaps we could put her name on our cars in memory of. sounds like she would get a kick out of watching us turn left instead of going straight. i know i would be happy to put her name on our car. kurt and lane..

Thanks Everyone:

Thanks for all the PM's and POSTS regarding the loss of my mother.

She would have been up set if she knew I had posted it on the forum, but sharing it with others is just the first part of the healing process and I needed to get through that quick...

Kurt:
Thanks to you for such a heart felt suggestion, but I think I would rather you give your wife a great big hug instead followed by one from Lane..
Mom would have been just fine with that...

Thanks again everybody:

ed

Unle Ed Sorry to her about your MOM. May you be comforted thru prayer and thru the many memories the lord has blessed your family with.

UNCLE ED what will be the payout on down the line for the big $1000 to win race? Some of the rcers down SOUTH were asking?

HEIDENHAIN 10K pay outs!

Hello everyone:

I am delivering the check to Mel tomorrow for the race.
So it's really going to happen:
As we all know, it's not a done deal until you show them the money.
Last Saturday night at MCS Mel came to me to show me how he was proposing to handle the pay out for some of the other positions.
As most of you know, this is my first time doing this type of event so I was at the mercy of the track owner.
I liked the things he was saying about the pay out and I can tell you this.
This will effect the events I help do in the future, so I am paying attention real close.
He was just trowing out some ideas and these are some of them.
He said he was thinking about taking what would be normally be the first place money based on the car count (which should be quite high) and adding it to what would normally be the third place on back.
How far back depends on the car count!

EXAMPLE:

If the normal first place purse is $300.00 due to a high car count.
and you came in third, which paid out on the same car count $125.00. you then would receive $425.00 for third.
(Just an example of course)
HEIDENHAIN Corp is paying the 1 and 2 spots $1000.00 to win and $500.00 for second so my example might be off just a bit.

HEIDENHAIN is also paying the winner of the B feature who will advance into the A feature a guaranteed $250.00 and if you win both you could take home a hefty $1250.00

All this on a $30.00 entry fee or pit pass.

I am not sure if this is industry correct to do it like this, Heidenhain just wants to help out the class that their team competes in.

These are some great folks and if you get the chance to come down to the Team HEIDENHAIN trailer, please thank them for putting on this event even if it doesn't go exactly as planned.
We all want and need their support for some events next year.
We will get better at this as we go along but not if this turns into a night mare for them.
They are strongly into their image and a out of control full blown disaster will kill any chance for future events with their help.
So Please:
Mind your selves and race like Ladies and Gentlemen.
RACE HARD but leave it out on the track not in the pits or Grand Stands.

Every one is watching!

As I said, the payouts are going to be some of the largest in our classes history around here and certainly the biggest for Mini Stock at MCS to my knowledge.

JUST A REMINDER:

We will probably be running last so if you are coming to the track as fans or you are in the stands during the event, please feel free to ask the people around you to stay and see the Mini's run.
Nothing is more depressing then working on your car all week and having no one to perform for in the stands.

IT WILL BE A GREAT SHOW TO SEE!
I GUARANTEE IT!

Can you feel the tention mounting?

See you all at the track!

SINCERELY:

Hey Guys and Girls:

We have gotten permission to have the event we have all been waiting for.
We confirmed it Saturday night with MCS track owner Mel Conard.
We will be having The HEIDENHAIN 10K Mini Stock Event at MCS on 9/22/07.
For those of you not up to speed on the metric system that's 24.852 laps!
We are making it 25 laps even.
All of the details will be available soon as well as a formal press release.
We have a commitment from Mr. Rick Korte Managing Director of HEIDENHAIN Corp based out of Schaumburg, IL. to put up the $1000.00 for first place guaranteed. They have also committed to generously fund some other finishing places as well.
Mr. Korte (as well as other HEIDENHAIN personnel) will be on hand to present the winner with the big check
Details as soon as we can get them out.

We are going to run the same basic rules as MCS MINI STOCK with some additions.
ALL CARS WILL BE INSPECTED BEFORE THE EVENT!
Please read the rules carefully when they become available.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
We don't want to waste anyones time and send you away!

All other details should be worked out by the end of the week.
Spread the word and help us build a tradition.
If this goes well it may be the first of a couple for next year.
We could use some big money races in this class.
Maybe the fans will not leave the stands until this one is finished!
It should be a real barn burner!:)

Thanks for your support.

Uncle Ed.
Team HEIDENHAIN
