Beginning on August 6th, drivers can race in BOTH divisions again! You can't use the same car, but any driver can once again compete in the super late model and crate late model events on the same night!

I don't know the track's answer. But I would assume with the way car counts are getting everywhere, they want every car they can get.

Next weeks Schedule

Drivers running a Crate Late Model & a Super Late Model can run both classes on the same night

I'm actually thinking it is the other way around that it is what they hope to benefit. There are a couple of drivers only running crates this year that can also bring a super (Oller, Pierce, Kehrer team and possibly others)

The MARS Series tire rule:

Only Hoosier WRS 55 or LM 40

Max tire hoop width is sixteen and three quarters inches (16.75”).

No defacing or refacing of tire lettering permitted.

No tire softening permitted.

I'm not tring to bash teams that can do this, but this rule change does effect the little guy! Now the bigger teams that have multiple cars and engines can take money out of the little guys pocket in two classes! the teams that benefit are the well funded teams! Not the little guy or the rookie driver tring to gain experience! Tri City these back and forth rules changes needs to stop!! Just like fighting, rules state it is prohibited but yet in drivers meeting it is expressed how much it is loved!! Like I said I am not tring to offend the people that can do this, but it hurts the little guy in both classes!!

In the drivers meeting it was expressed that if 2 drivers (grown men) want to get out there and
make fools of themselves Go For It! Sure we were lovin it who wouldn't.

Thanks

What is that teaching the younger generation racer, the young person in the stands who may grow up to be a racer! Like it or not we all have a lot of young eyes on us! We should always on and off the track act in a respectable manner. Tempers flare and emotions need to be kept in check. What are we teaching the younger generation! Then younger driver sits in the drivers meeting and get a contradicting response on the situation. I was that young man in the stands and I have seen my fair share of ridiculous things go on at the track, but never to the extreme it has gone to in recent years without punishment or promoted!! This was not what my post was really about, its the fact that Tri City needs to pic a set of rules and stick with them, atleast for the whole season!!!!

Rick,

You should know by now that it's all about the $$$$$.

Same reason they won't do any meaningful tech in the Pro Late Model Class! $$$$
