From his website...

(July 15, 2013) Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) followed the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals trail to the Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois tonight for another $5,000 to win tussle. Shannon Babb posted the fastest lap in his group during time trials and later finished a strong second in his heat race. After starting the 40-lap feature event from the outside of the third row, Shannon was unfortunately an early retiree and was relegated to a twentieth place finish. He has decided to forego the tour's final three races later this week in the Buckeye State of Ohio and his 2013 "Hell Tour" journey is now over.

Dropped off running 3rd in points.

smart business move as it doesnt appear he can fall any further back than 3rd and doesnt have to spend on fuel to ohio races.

Let's look at it this way, this gives him time to prep and get ready for the Prairie Dirt Classic next weekend at Fairbury.

Of course he's going to miss out on a potential $20,000 in winnings by missing those last three races.

He quit just because he had a bad race? I'm confused... He has a good chance of still winning it. Oh well, feel sorry for the fans at the remaining tracks. IT IS THE FN HELLTOUR BABB!!! MAN UP!!!:p
